Three-alarm fire rips through Upper East Side restaurant

A three-alarm fire broke out inside an Upper East Side restaurant on Friday night, causing minor injuries to two firefighters, officials said.

The fire started inside Jacques Bistro at 200 East 85th Street at around 9:30 p.m. and quickly spread into the duct work, according to fire officials.

A total of about 130 firefighters responded to the building where the flames spread to the second and third floors.

The blaze was eventually knocked down on all floors. Two firefighters suffered minor injuries while battling the inferno.
