A murderous bloke on death row was given a huge final meal – only to be given a stay of execution just hours later.
Alan Eugene Miller was sentenced to death after he brutally killed three men in a workplace shooting in 1999.
An employee discovered the lifeless bodies of Lee Holdbrooks and Scott Yancy, who were found dead inside of a building.

It was reported that he spotted Miller as he exited Ferguson Enterprises in Pelham, New York.
Miller then drove to his old workplace Post Airgas and killed employee Terry Jarvis, according to prosecutors.
Following his conviction, Miller has opted to try nitrogen hypoxia over lethal injection because of his fear of being pricked.
However, he claimed that correctional officers lost his paperwork which detailed the request for the alternative method..
Nitrogen hypoxia is meant to cause death by using nitrogen instead of oxygen.
The method was approved by Alabama and two other states for executions in 2018 but it is yet to be tried.

Just as Miller was about to become the first person executed in this manner, he was given a last-minute reprieve as his “death warrant” expired at midnight last night – despite the United States Supreme Court giving the go-ahead for it to take place.
Reports state that the green light from the court came about an hour too late.
Before being given the reprieve, he chowed down on a glorious meal of meatloaf, chuckwagon steak, American cheese, French fries, apple sauce, instant potatoes, macaroni, apples and an orange drink.

He was also visited by family and friends during the week leading up to the event, which only happens when you're due to be executed.
No update has been given on when the injection will be given, but the murderer will get another chance to have his final meal once more when it does come.
