THE Met Office has revealed when a huge band of rain will drench most of the country – and it's just as the school holidays begin.
Forecasters said downpours are expected to start soaking parts of the country in the coming days – with chances of thunderstorms, too.
Not everywhere is expected to get too damp – the heavy rainfall is only likely to hit the hilly areas of northern England and Northern Ireland, as well as southern areas of Scotland and Wales.
But a Met Office map shows much of the country will be hit by a band of rain tomorrow.
The wet weather is looking to set in just as school break kicks off.
Travel chaos has already ensued across the country, with Brits trying to escape for their getaways early.

Holidaymakers this morning were hit with queues on the roads, and at major airports, as they tried to flee the UK.
The wet weather will likely impact that more in the coming days.
Met Office's Grahame Madge said: "We are in for quite a wet weekend.
"Some areas might see 50-60mm, some areas could see higher than that."

It comes after heavy downpours and 45mph winds smashed the country last weekend, and the Met issued flood alerts for England.
The forecaster said today would bring "another day of hit or miss showers", while he said Brits should expect rain on Saturday.
Looking ahead, the Met said thunderstorms are likely to roll in on Monday.
Its outlook said: "Generally cool and unsettled over the weekend and at first next week.
"Showers or longer spells of rain, with strong winds in places and a risk of thunderstorms on Monday."
It comes as much of Europe continues to battle intense heat, with some parts hitting temperatures higher than 40C, Brits have been dealing with gloomy conditions.
However the Met says we will start to see more summery days as we enter August.
With the UK expecting to see less rainfall and lighter winds, it will naturally start to feel warmer.
