This is the moment an Asian man was stomped on the head, in yet another disturbing act of hate in New York City.
The chilling 12-second video released by the NYPD captured the sadistic East Harlem assault by a suspect who remains at large.
The victim was fighting for his life Saturday after being brutally assaulted as he pushed a shopping cart full of recyclables, police sources told The Post.
The man, 61, was attacked from behind at around 8:20 p.m. Friday as he collected cans at the foot of a 19-story apartment building under construction at 3rd Avenue and 125th Street.
The clip shows the suspect relentlessly stomp his helpless victim at least six times, then casually walk away as his prey was motionless on the sidewalk.
The vicious attack takes place as a steady stream of cars go by.
EMS transported the victim — who suffered severe head trauma — to Harlem Hospital, where he is listed in critical but stable condition, police said.
Police have not determined if the man was targeted due to his race. The NYPD Hate Crime Task Force is investigating.
The suspect is an adult man and was last seen wearing a black jacket, black pants, white sneakers and a multi-colored baseball cap, police said.
The shocking attack comes amid a rash of hate crimes against Asian-Americans in the boroughs and beyond.
