EXCLUSIVE: Nika Nikoubin says previous rape made her stab man during sex in Vegas hotel to avenge Iranian drone strike as she avoids jail

  • Nika Nikoubin, 22, appeared at the Eight Judicial District Court, Clark County, Nevada and was sentenced to probation
  • She was accused of stabbing her date while they had sex in a Las Vegas hotel in March 2022 telling police it was to avenge a deadly US drone strike
  • Nikoubin pleaded for probation and yearned to follow her eccentric music career claiming she is an avid musician and diligent student

A woman who stabbed a lover during sex in a Vegas hotel room to avenge a US drone strike that killed a top Iranian general has blamed a previous rape for her behavior, as she avoided jail.

Nika Nikoubin, 22, appeared at the Eight Judicial District Court, Clark County, Nevada on Wednesday and told the court that she is ‘aware of the gravity of my actions and the consequences they carry.’

Despite the gravity of her crimes – which saw the wannabe singer knife her victim in the neck – she walked free after being sentenced to no more than 36 months probation.

Nikoubin pleaded guilty to two counts of False Imprisonment with Use of a Deadly Weapon in connection with the incident in court appearance May 10.

In a close to four-page testimony to the court on Wednesday Nikoubin pleaded for probation revealing she had been ‘traumatized’ after allegedly being raped when she was 18 and at college.

‘I was raped when I was 18 years old by another student. At the time, I did not fully realize the impact that this experience had on me and my mental health deteriorated,’ she told the court in the prepared statement.

‘A month prior to my arrest, I was admitted to a mental health facility for 10 days.’

The 22-year-old said she was diagnosed with a number of disorders including ‘severe depression, schizophrenia, and bi-polar disorder.’

‘These diagnoses were deeply upsetting to me and, truthfully, I was in denial,’ she told the court.

Nikoubin, 22, blindfolded her Plenty of Fish date, reached into her purse while his eyes were covered, pulled out a knife and stabbed him twice in the neck as part of a twisted revenge plot to ‘spill American blood.’

She says she did so in revenge after former President Donald Trump ordered the assassination by drone strike of top Iranian general Qasem Soleimani outside Baghdad Airport in January 2020.

Henderson police arrested Nikoubin, a University of Texas at Dallas student, shortly after the stabbing on March 5 2022 at Sunset Station.

The 22-year-old said that her arrest was a ‘wake up call’ and if granted leniency she would seek to ‘stay under the close supervision’ of her parents who she said are ‘committed to guiding me through this difficult time.’

In March last year, Nikoubin met a man online and the pair agreed to meet at a hotel, where they booked a room together, police said at the time

The ‘remorseful’ 22-year-old spoke directly to the victim, who she referred to as ‘Daniel,’ and said she ‘deeply regretted the pain and suffering’ she put him through.

‘I would like him to know that my actions on the night of the incident had nothing to do with him, personally – he did not deserve what happened to him and I hope that this apology will aid in his healing journey,’ she told the court.

Nikoubin met the man only referred to as ‘Daniel’ online and the pair agreed to meet at a hotel, where they booked a room together, police said at the time.

While in the room, the pair began engaging in sexual activity, when Nikoubin put a blindfold on the victim, police said at the time.

Nikoubin then turned off the lights, and several seconds later, stabbed the victim in the neck, court documents reveal.

With a seemingly calm disposition the 22-year-old revealed in a brazen and bizarre confession on police body cam that she’d stabbed her date for political reasons.

‘I guess out of spite and revenge,’ she told the officer when he asked why she stabbed the victim.

‘What do you mean by that? Like, why?’ the officer asked.

‘I mean the U.S. killed Soleimani. Lots of blood spilled,’ she said. ‘So, I feel like, it’s fair that American blood be spilled.’

Soleimani was killed when an American MQ-9 Reaper drone fired missiles at his convoy as it left Baghdad airport in 2020.

Soleimani was the head of Iran’s Quds force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, and believed to be responsible for Tehran’s backing for Shia proxies sowing unrest through the Middle East.

He was often described as the country’s most powerful figure after its supreme leader.

Following his death, a United Nations expert said that without an imminent threat to life the strike was unlawful.

The stabbing victim spoke to investigators that same night – photos show his injuries, which included at least two puncture wounds to his neck.

In the lead up to sentencing Nikoubin had been tirelessly promoting her musical career prolifically posting pictures and videos of songs she’d recorded.

A hearing in February saw the 22-year-old’s posts immediately removed after police monitoring were handed court imposed provisions.

An eccentric Nikoubin at the time released a bizarre series of music videos. One song – titled Spaceman – which saw the 22-year-old sings about her desire for the eponymous figure or an ‘astronaut between her thighs.’

The heavily auto-tuned music video in which Nikoubin is seen dressed in sequined outfits, tasseled jumpsuits and a fluffy pink crop top was released while Nikoubin was supposed to be on house arrest in Texas – prompting Kierny to put forward a ban.

‘At this point, we’ll just say no,’ Kierny said in response to the performances and videos released on a YouTube channel with the username Nika Borouj.

Kierny said those monitoring Nikoubin – were only tracking her location and not checking to see if she had potentially violated her curfew or other justice court-imposed provisions.

Nikoubin was banned from performing after she released a heavily produced and auto-tuned music video earlier this year

The court mandated stipulations included a 6pm curfew, excluding work and education.

In what appears to be a flagrant disregard of the restrictions, Nikoubin, appeared to have filmed and produced a series of music videos in which the 22-year-old transports viewers to a dystopic auto-tuned reality.

Far from the comforts of her Texas home, the video shows Nikoubin walking free in a tasseled jumpsuit and donning bright pink eyeshadow.

The scene quickly cuts to Nikoubin dancing slowly inside a cotton ball cave lit with pastel lighting before cutting back to the 22-year-old walking through the streets in her sequined tasseled outfit.

Nikoubin then enters a lift with friends wearing yet another sequined jumpsuit before the clip cuts to her awkwardly dancing with a group of women in a fluffy pink crop top.

‘I don’t want a boyfriend, I just need a spaceman,’ she sings in the overproduced production.

A CGI astronaut then swims onto the scene while traffic bustles below the character who continues to float through the air.

‘I don’t want a boyfriend, I just need a spaceman, who can get me higher, flying in the basement,’ she continues.

‘Take you out my sunrise, an astronaut between my thighs.’

The video clip finishes with a group of women dancing in a room before Nikoubin poses on a luxury vehicle in a finale to the nightmarish music video.

Apart from being banned from further music videos and performances, a representative from the University of Texas also asked for the 22-year-old to be banned from campus.

‘We would like to request that the court restrict Ms. Nikoubin from coming to our campus while her trial is pending,’ said Rod Bishop told 8NewsNow at the time.

‘After this week’s shooting at Michigan State University along with continued campus violence across the nation, students and parents are even more alarmed about safety issues.’

Kierny told Bishop that was a private matter and not her decision to make while Nikoubin’s attorney, Alanna Bondy, objected to the request. Bishop said Nikoubin would be able to attend online classes.

The videos have since been taken down and a single image appears on Nikoubin’s Instagram of the 22-year-old in a music studio.
