Executives at the Wynn hotel in Las Vegas are ‘over the moon’ after winning the patronage of superstar singer Adele, as she kicks off her long-awaited mega-money residency in Sin City.

As part of her deal to sing at the Caesars Palace Colosseum for $1milllion a night, the British vocalist was offered  luxury accommodations at the Palazzo Suites at the Rio Casino – a four-star hotel on the Strip owned by Caesars Entertainment.

But on Sunday DailyMail.com revealed Adele has shunned the swanky suite for a bungalow on a golf course at the rival Wynn resort just down the road instead.

Roman Massaro, Director of Resort Customer Development at the $2.7bn five-star hotel, quickly crowed over the singer’s switch, even posting an Instagram story with DailyMail.com’s exclusive article, captioned: ‘@Wynnlasvegas must be doing something right.’

A well-placed Vegas insider confirmed hotel execs have been gloating about the move off of social media as well.

‘Wynn is over the moon that Adele has not only chosen to stay at the property, she has delivered a diss to one of its arch rivals,’ the source told DailyMail.com on Monday.

‘Adele may not be a high roller but she’s a superstar who deserves only the best.’

DailyMail.com revealed on Sunday that singer-songwriter Adele was unimpressed with her accommodation at the Palazzo Suites at the Rio Casino for her Las Vegas residency, opting for a villa at rival Wynn hotel instead

Adele’s Mercedes, along with two other cars, entered a private drive behind the Encore Hotel on Saturday. The five-star Encore at the Wynn Las Vegas is part of the same exceptional service and class as its flagship property, Wynn Las Vegas within the same sprawling resort complex, but with a boutique vibe

Meanwhile the brass at Caesars are seething after Adele turned down their luxury lodging – good enough for Cher and Elton John – which was said to include a butler, with the star expected to spend weekends holed up there with son Angelo and boyfriend Rich Paul between now and March.

‘Top guns at Caesars are fuming and see it as a real slap in the face,’ another insider said.

Adele reportedly tried to diffuse the situation after it made headlines by claiming she was only at the Wynn to visit friends ‘incognito,’ according to reports.

But multiple sources with knowledge of the situation have insisted she has indeed moved to the Wynn.

DailyMail.com photos show the star’s Mercedes dropping her off at the private entrance for the star at Caesars before her performance and then returning to the entrance of the Wynn villas.

‘For some reason she was not satisfied with her accommodations at The Rio. But really it has amazing suites that people like Elton and Cher have stayed at.’

However, the arrangements appeared to be subpar for Adele, who is rumored to have initially requested accommodation at the Augustus Tower at the Caesars Palace complex – which only has three suites on the penthouse level.

Las Vegas professional gambler RJ Cipriani (aka also Robin Hood 702) weighed in on the situation, adding: ‘Caesars should have just given Adele the penthouse suite at the Augustus Tower, its by far one of the best suites in the country and I’ve been in every high roller suite in the country.’

Wynn Resorts, founded by former CEO Steve Wynn, opened the luxury hotel on the Las Vegas Strip in April 2005.

The 80-year-old hotel magnate stepped down from his position in 2018 amid reports of sexual misconduct by several women, which he denies.

Despite resigning, Wynn is said to live in one of the hotel’s luxury villas near Adele’s new digs.

The luxury accommodations at the Fairway Villas cost up to $30,000 a night. One suite, for example, is a 3,224 sq ft room, which includes an 80 inch TV, dining area with a bar, two marble bathrooms and twice daily housekeeping.

Staying there probably gives her increased privacy, as the villas are approached via their own private drive.

A convoy of cars used by the singer were seen heading from Caesars Palace to the Wynn on Saturday after the concert.

The top brass at Caesars declined, with gambler RJ Cipriani (aka Robin Hood 702), who regularly stays at the resort, exclusively telling DailyMail.com that Caesars top brass ‘was [not] going to give one of its highly coveted accommodations to someone on their payroll – as big a star as Adele is’

Adele was offered lodgings at the Palazzo Suites at the Rio (pictured), part of Caesars Palace, but is said to have refused it

A local source said: ‘It’s not clear what caused the move, but obviously it is unusual for Adele not to be staying at Caesars and locally gossip has been spreading.

‘I am sure that the feeling is that whatever makes her feel comfortable is OK, but this is embarrassing for Caesars.’

Another source claimed that Adele was unimpressed after being offered a room in the Palazzo Villas at the Rio, which is an all-suite hotel and casino across from Caesars, when she had expected to be housed in the Augustus Tower.

Adele has been in Vegas for nearly two weeks going through technical rehearsals for her show, Weekends With Adele.

It was pulled with less than 24 hours before curtain up in January, with Adele saying that Covid delays had hit the planned performance and that it wasn’t ready.

On Thursday she said on Instagram that nerves and anticipation were getting to her. She wrote: ‘I’m feeling all sorts as I write this. I’m highly emotional, incredibly nervous but can’t sit still because I’m so excited.

‘I feel a million miles away from home, I can’t stop thinking about when I was little and saw Tom Jones in Mars Attacks and thought blimey how did he get from Wales to Las Vegas!? I always get scared before shows, and I take it as a good sign because it means I care and means I just want to do a good job.

‘Maybe it’s because I didn’t start when I was supposed to. Maybe it’s because it’s opening night, maybe it’s because Hyde Park went so great, maybe its because I love the show I don’t know. But it’s safe to say I’ve never been more nervous before a show in my career, but at the same time I wish today was tomorrow! I can’t wait to see you out there x’.

She is now said to have opted for the Fairway Villas at the Wynn Las Vegas (pictured), which sit on that property’s golf course. The Wynn wanted to lure Adele to perform her residency at their hotel, with her alleged decision to stay there reportedly seen as a coup

On Friday, Adele said on stage that she came very close to pulling out again after being ill all week.

‘You’re not gonna believe me, you’re gonna think I want a tiny violin to come out and start playing behind my tears, so last week I was sick as a f—– dog, right. I was like s—, if it’s solely my fault for not being able to perform this Friday, I’m done, I’m gonna fall off the face of the Earth.’

She added that she was horribly nervous, saying: ‘It might be a bit wobbly at times because my nerves are out of control ? it’s a bloody massive week for me this week. It’s the Walking Dead finale on Sunday! It’s opening night, it’s the Walking Dead, it’s the Grammys and it’s the World Cup. F—— hell – there’s a lot going on.’

In January a tearful Adele filmed an apology video from her suite at Caesars, explaining: ‘We’ve been absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and COVID. Half my crew and team are [ill] with COVID and still are, and it’s been impossible to finish the show.’ She added: ‘It just ain’t ready.’

Since then she’s returned several times to the question of why on earth she pulled the rug on a $178million production – and the excuse of Covid has been ditched.

In July she told BBC Radio 4’s Desert Island Disks that the primary issues had been artistic.

And, despite fans losing thousands of pounds in travel and hotel bills, it turned out that the person who Adele felt most sorry for was Adele.

She said: ‘The show was not good enough. Maybe my silence has been deadly, I don’t know. But it was horrible.

‘I definitely felt everyone’s disappointment and I was devastated, and I was frightened about letting them down. I’d thought I could pull it together and make it work and I couldn’t, and I stand by that decision.’

AGENT SUPPORT: Adele, 34, also had the support of her boyfriend Rich Paul, 40, who looked dapper in a black suit as he sat in the audience and watched her perform, before the star later shared a kiss with her beau. Also in attendance was British rapper Stormzy, a close friend of Adele’s

SHEER ELEGANCE: Adele was all smiles and looked flawless as she finally took to the stage in Vegas for the first of her residency shows after reporting her relocation last year

She added that she was proud of what she had done. ‘I don’t think any other artist would have done what I did and that is why it was such a massive, massive story. It was like, ‘I don’t care. You can’t buy me, you can’t buy me for nothing. I’m not going to just do a show because I have to or because people are going to be let down or because we’re going to lose loads of money.’

She returned to the theme again a month later in an interview for Elle. ‘I was so excited about those shows. It was devastating,’

There was just no soul in it. The stage setup wasn’t right. It was very disconnected from me and my band, and it lacked intimacy, and maybe I tried too hard to give it those things in such a controlled environment.

‘I was embarrassed. But it actually made my confidence in myself grow because it was a very brave thing to do. And I don’t think many people would have done what I did. I’m very proud of myself for standing by my artistic needs.’

The singer had fired set designer Esmeralda Devlin, a hugely respected professional, when ‘in a panic’ in January.

Sources suggest that Adele, who suffers from bad stage fright, had requested constant changes in the run-up to the opening night, and had never really been clear about what she wanted.

The lake feature, which she was to have been suspended over during a performance of Rolling In The Deep, proved a particular bone of contention, with Adele calling it a ‘baggy old pond.’

She confirmed as much to Elle when she talked about a water feature that ‘looked great for a couple of songs, but then didn’t do anything. It was just there’.

British singer Adele now lives in Beverly Hills in an $11 million mansion with sports agent Rich Paul. She was previously married to British charity boss Simon Konecki.
