The band was made up of Paul, his brother Leevirt Agee, and Thaddeus T-Bird Maye, with the famous song reaching number 10 in the US Billboard music chart.

Fans took to X, formally known as Twitter, to share their heartfelt messages, as one said: "May his gentle soul rest in peace", while another added: "Sad news in the rap world!".

Thaddeus T-Bird Maye also shared an emotional tribute as he revealed they "go way back". The star penned: "PAUL COSTICT was a very funny and Kool brother. We go way back to Blount high school. We always janked. He was so funny.

He continued: "Love you brother rip, please keep me and his family in your PRAYERS. TELL SOMEONE YOU LOVE THEM TODAY AND MEAN IT, LIFE JUST TOO SHORT TO BE HOLDING GRUDGES.I LOVE YOU ALL".
