Amanda Holden has confessed that she confiscates her teenage daughter’s revealing clothes for her to wear instead in a new interview.

The 51 year old is certainly no stranger to daring ensembles – having sported many as a judge on Britain’s Got Talent – and has even received complaints from viewers over her racy looks.

At home, it turns out Amanda has been the one complaining to her 16 year old daughter Lexi over some daring clothes choices.

Amanda explained that she’s become strict with Lexi when it comes to what she wears, after she tried to pack a “bikini top” for Reading Festival this summer.

The star told The Sun: "There’s this sequinned…I wouldn’t even call it a bikini top. My daughter’s 16!

"I went, 'No, you’re not wearing that to Reading Festival, but Mummy can have it,' so Mummy’s got it, and waiting for a moment to wear it.

"It just about covers the bits up top that you would expect it to cover, but it was definitely not for my daughter."

Amanda jokily added that Lexi would get her top back when she reached age 18.

Her recent interview comes after she voiced her concerns over daughter Lexi possibly joining Love Island in the future on her show Heart Radio Breakfast.

Amanda spoke about how Lexi had grown an “obsession” with the show over the summer after becoming a fan of the latest series, which saw couple Davide Sanclimenti and Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu win.

Seeing 19 year old Gemma Owen, daughter of former footballer Michael Owen, on the show, had Amanda nervous that Lexi might want to star on the show also.

She said on Heart Radio Breakfast: “So this is becoming a bit of an obsession with my teenage daughter at home now, whose never taken one scrap of interest in Love Island and now is all over it.

"Which worries me slightly bearing in mind that Michael Owen’s daughter is on it, and I’m like, 'you ain’t ever going on it, Alexa.'"

Amanda’s co-presenter Jamie Theakston replied: "Oh, imagine that!"

"But anyways, she’s loving watching it… I can imagine it, and I’m not," Amanda continued.

"Oh please, it would be perfect for this show,” Jamie teased, to an unimpressed Amanda.

She snapped back in response: "No it wouldn’t. Mama said no. She loves me too much, she won’t do it!"
