Shaughna Phillips’ ‘sign’ from late dad as flowers mysteriously move on his grave

Love Island favourite Shaughna Phillips shared a heart-warming sentiment with her online followers on Monday night.

After visiting the grave of her late father Eddie – who tragically died of cancer in December 2016 – to take him some flowers, the 28 year old reality star noticed something peculiar when she returned later in the afternoon.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, Shaughna explained: "Went to my dads grave today to give it a little tidy up and put some fresh flowers down (top picture you can see the new flowers in the planters either side of the headstone, the one on the left was in deep so wasn't moving).

"I had to go back this afternoon as I forgot to put some rosary beads down, and the plants had moved, way too far for them to have just fallen and landed there.

"The cemetery is very small with no new burials, so has very little visitors, and I have no family in Ireland anymore so no one that would have visited the grave after me.

"I guess there's so many explanations for this, but I like to think it's my dad letting me know he's with me always."

In December last year, almost two years following her Love Island stint, Shaughna paid a heartfelt tribute to her late dad Eddie, four years after his death, by sharing a childhood snap of the two, along with an emotional message.

"5 years today. It doesn't get easier, the pain doesn't fade, I still have days where I can talk about you all day long, and days where I can't even mention the word 'dad'," she said.

"But I've decided now that I'm okay with the pain not fading, in fact I don't want it to, it's a reminder of just how much I love you, and how truly blessed I am to have you as my daddy.

"Almost 8 billion people in the world, and I'm the lucky one that has you, I count my blessings each and everyday."

The year prior, the former Islander shared memories of her late father on ITV's The Real Full Monty on Ice, in which she took part to raise awareness of always checking for signs of cancer.

"My dad died of cancer," she told cancer survivors on the show. "And I'm so glad that your kids have still got you.

"I know its like a battle having all the treatment and having all the surgery but I can speak from a child's point of view that your kids will thank you so much for fighting the hardest battle of your life."
