Armie Hammer docuseries will remove image of bite mark taken from Pinterest following probe
House of Hammer, the Discovery+ docuseries chronicling the sex abuse accusations against actor Armie Hammer, is removing an image of a bite mark previously featured in the broadcast after learning ‘new information’ that the image was of a tattoo that was taken from Pinterest.
The image of the bite mark was initially attributed to the 36-year-old actor by his former partner Courtney Vucekovich, who said that she thought the image was of her person.
Vucekovich, who was seen in the documentary, has accused Hammer of improper sexual behavior, saying in the docuseries that she felt coerced and abused in her interaction with the actor, who encouraged her into BDSM practices including biting and being tied up with ropes.

Vucekovich said that Hammer ‘bites really hard’ and encouraged her to think of the resulting marks ‘a badge of honor.’
She said in the doc, ‘Almost like he convinced me that I’m lucky to have it. As f***ed up as it sounds, at that time, I was interpreting that as love. Looking at it now, makes me sick. He pushes your boundaries a little bit at a time.’
Hammer once penned Vucekovich a letter that read, ‘I am going to bite the f*** out of you,’ she said in the docuseries, at which point the erroneous image of the bite marks was displayed onscreen.

A spokesperson for the production company Talos Films told Variety that the organization takes ‘seriously the responsibility of representing victims’ stories,’ and probed the claims over the photo.
‘When new information came forward about this series we immediately began investigating it and will make any appropriate changes as quickly as possible,’ said the spokesperson. ‘We are proud of those who came forward to share their truth to the public – including Courtney Vucekovich and Casey Hammer – and stand firmly behind the important message in this docuseries.’
Vucekovich on Wednesday issued a statement to People explaining the confusion behind the placement of the photo.

‘When you are love-bombed, you receive multiple images in rapid succession,’ Vucekovich said. ‘During my time with Armie, I received numerous messages including countless images and videos.
‘The bite mark shown was a photo sent by Armie within our archived text thread and over a year later, I believed it to have been a photo of me given that I have dozens of photos depicting his abuse on my body.’
Speaking with Page Six in January of 2021, Vucekovich said that the actor had told her he desired ‘to break [her] rib and barbecue and eat it.’
Hammer, known for his performances in films such as Call Me By Your Name, The Man from U.N.C.L.E. and The Lone Ranger, fell into controversy in early 2021 amid multiple accusations of sex abuse and a stated penchant for cannibalism.
He was subsequently dropped from his agency WME and lost a number of roles he had on tap, including the Jennifer Lopez film Shotgun Wedding and the Paramount Plus series The Offer.
