Avril Lavigne appears to be moving on from Mod Sun with Tyga. Two weeks after the “Complicated” singer’s rep confirmed to POPSUGAR that she and Sun had ended their engagement, Lavigne was spotted kissing Tyga at Paris Fashion Week. On Monday, the pair was seen cozying up at the Mugler x Hunter Schafer party, seemingly confirming their rumored romance. Reps for Lavigne and Tyga did not immediately respond to POPSUGAR’s request for comment.

Speculation that Lavigne and Tyga were possibly dating first emerged when TMZ published photos of the musicians hugging outside of Nobu in Los Angeles on Feb. 20. The following day, Lavigne’s rep confirmed that she and Sun had broken up.

Shortly after, Sun’s rep told POPSUGAR that the pair “were together and engaged as of three days ago when Mod left for tour so if anything has changed that’s news to him.” At the time, a source close to the former couple also told People that nothing was going on between Tyga and Lavigne and that they were “genuinely friends and nothing more.”

As of late February, Sun seemed to be trying to figure out how to come to terms with the split. He shared an Instagram carousel along with the caption, “In 1 week my entire life completely changed. I just know there’s a plan for it all. I’ll keep my head up + always listen to my heart, even when it feels broken.” Lavigne and Sun were first linked in early 2021, and Sun proposed in March of 2022.
