Stacey Dooley reveals chaotic way she told Kevin Clifton she was pregnant

Stacey Dooley is set to give birth to her first child with Kevin Clifton in a matter of weeks.

On New Year's Eve, the pregnant star revealed the "chaotic" way she discovered she was pregnant – and how she broke the news to her dancer beau.

Stacey, 35, told fans that she took a pregnancy test in Selfridges, before Face Timing Kevin in the back of a black cab to tell him the news.

Sharing a screengrab of their call on Instagram, the mum-to-be wrote: "Happy new year kids! Wishing you all only great moments ahead.

"2022. The year I found out we were having a baby!"

"I did a pregnancy test in Selfridges toilet and facetimed Kev in the back of a black cab.

"This is the moment. (He was filming for a gig and had a radio mic on so it was all v chaotic) 2023, we're coming!"

Stacey and Kevin met when they were partnered together on Strictly Come Dancing in 2018, which they won.

The pair announced their exciting baby news back in August.

It comes after Stacey's fans rushed to defend her after she was mum-shamed after posting a bump picture.

Stacey recently took to Instagram to share a mirror selfie, where she sported comfortable trousers and a matching crop top, putting her blossoming bump on full display, as she showed off a stylish cross body bag.

She captioned the snap: "My penultimate day of work before the baby comes.

"I haven't got a steriliser yet, but I have got this completely impractical bag for expectant mothers so DON'T WORRY, (I'm gonna be great at this clearly)," as she added plenty of laughing emojis.

But Stacey was slammed by some of her followers for the mention of the steriliser, as one commented: "Breastfeeding doesn’t require sterilisers #normalisebreastfeeding".

Another wrote: "Steriliser just another way to make money out of parents. Not needed!"

A third added: "If you’re breastfeeding you won’t need a steriliser… problem solved!"

A number of Stacey's other followers hit back at the negativity, as one wrote: "Don't feel any pressure to feed your baby any other way than how you feel most comfortable Stacey. You're going to be great."

Someone else said: "I am sure she knows exactly what she’s doing and has done her research (this is her job after all!)"

"It’s not for anyone to surmise, pass judgement or tell her what she should or should not be doing," said another, whilst a fourth said: "How about normalising women have a choice how they feed! Some women, like me, can't breastfeed."
