BBC Breakfast star gives sweet update after giving birth to baby daughter

Nina Warhurst- star of BBC Breakfast – yesterday thanked her thousands of fans for their love, support and well wishes following the birth of her third child last month.

Taking to Twitter yesterday morning, the business news presenter posted two adorable snaps of her newborn baby, with one of the heartmelting pictures showing Nina herself cradling her latest addition, a tiny baby girl, in her arms in hospital.

"Thank you for the messages!" she told fans. "We are all well and loved up (aside from the standard sleep deprivation/bits & bobs falling off)."

Nina added: "A second delivery @MFT_SaintMarys @MFTnhs – and words can't describe how safe and supported the midwives & wider team made us feel. Thank you."

Fans were quick to flood to the comments section of the sweet tweet to congratulate the on-screen journalist, 42, who shares her newborn daughter and sons Digby, seven, and Michael, five with caterer husband Ed Fraser.

"Congratulations! To you Nina – and the whole family – 2 boys, 1 girl – it's a combo I know and it's wonderful," one gushed over the adorable snaps.

Another added to the thread of comments: "Congratulations to you all, bet your boys are super excited, take care".

Nina's BBC Breakfast colleagues appeared very happy to announce the news of the latest addition to her brood during Monday morning's show.

Host Sally Nugent – who presented the show alongside Jon Kay – told viewers: "Some very, very happy news to share now about our colleague Nina Warhurst, who we said goodbye to not very many days ago as she went off on maternity leave.

"She has welcomed a very healthy, beautiful baby girl."

Jon then added that the beautiful baby's name is a "work in progress", adding: "The great news is they're all doing well after what Nina said was brilliant care from the team at St. Mary's in Manchester. Isn't she gorgeous?"

He continued: "All our love to you and the family, Nina," he continued. "That is fantastic, we are delighted for you."

Nina later took to Instagram to share snapshots from the past four weeks, revealing she and Ed have named their daughter, Nance.

In the heartfelt post, Nina expressed her awe and wonder at witnessing her daughter's first four weeks of life. She told her 25,000 followers: "4 snaplets of me and Nance from each of the 4 weeks we've watched her slowly waking up this world.

"We've lost all sense of time as we've been feeding and snoozing ad gazing and toe-stroking and head-smelling and marvelling at the absolute wonder of it all."
