Viewers tuned in on Friday night for the Big Brother shock double elimination which saw Chanelle and Trish evicted from the house following the public vote. While they left on the same night, their exits couldn't have been more different with Chanelle facing "absolutely horrendous" abuse.
As the seventh housemate to be evicted and just a few days after she was caught breaking the rules talking about nominations, Chanelle received a huge amount of boos from the crowd on Friday, 10 November. A vast difference compared to Trish who was evicted shortly after and was greeted by a loud applause from the crowd.
Following her brutal Big Brother exit, Chanelle, who hails from Wales, spoke exclusively to OK! about her experience on the show and the negativity she's received following her "perception". The 29 year old was quick to confess to breaking the rules in the house and said: "I expected to go, I wasn't shocked that I was nominated because I broke the rules, I knew how it looked, I knew how we would have been perceived".
She continued: "And I wasn't shocked that I was evicted, so I did kind of prepare myself for that and I think I prepared myself for a bad reception because I already knew how I was going to be perceived.
"I put my strong girl knickers on and walked out there, I tried to blur it all out." Chanelle isn't the only housemate to leave to the sounds of boos, with the Big Brother crowd known for being vocal when it comes to expressing their feelings towards the contestants.
But what Chanelle wasn't expecting was the abuse she had to endure as she navigated back into life outside of the house. Sitting down with OK! the 29 year old went on to say: "For me, I'm just a normal girl from Wales that goes to work Monday to Friday, to now having to navigate through the trolling, has been absolutely horrendous.
"I think what people need to remember is that you do only see a 45-minute clip and unfortunately you probably do just see the clips of me b**ching when in reality I'm not doing that all day. I'm actually having loads of fun, laughing with everyone in the house, but it is what it is in that term.
"I think people also need to remember that everyone in that house talks about each other but unfortunately it looks like I've been doing the most talking behind people's backs when that's actually not the case. "
The dental therapist continued: "I was in situations where I shut conversations down, I'll be like 'Guys we need to stop this' and I've encouraged conversations like with Trish but people don't see it.
"There's this kind, soft side to me that people haven't seen a lot of, they've only just seen me expressing my emotions and my frustrations."
Reflecting on her perception from her time in the house, Chanelle confessed: "It is frustrating but I guess it has to have fit the narrative of that day.
"There are lots of things which I think people haven't seen a lot of in there, like Dylan, you'd have such good conversations with him, Paul with his mental health, Jenkin is really funny and Olivia is funny, you can have a really good conversation.
"Henry and his boarding school and learning stuff about Jordan being a lawyer.
"All these intellectual conversations have gone on but I've been perceived as this kind of dumb, ditzy, blond – I have my moments but that's just me being Chanelle and I'm not going to apologise for not always wanting to have a serious conversation.
"You get so bored in that house, you need that playfulness."
Chanelle's eviction came after viewers watched a conversation between Jenkin, Olivia and Chanelle unfold on Tuesday which saw them make a reference to the upcoming nominations. Chanelle said: "I’ll forgive but I’ll never forget when it comes to my friends."
Olivia responded to Chanelle’s comments before Jenkin said: "Guys, genuinely just stop this conversation." As a result of what was said, Chanelle had her immunity revoked, meaning contestants could nominate her.
Meanwhile, Olivia had her nomination privileges revoked and faced an additional punishment of having to write 600 lines that read: "I must not break the rules."
