Britney Spears, 40, has posted countless videos of her dancing on her Instagram page, with some sparking concern from fans. Now, the singer has revealed that they have a far deeper meaning. While viewers simply see the singer grooving, she explained that it’s the only time she doesn’t feel pain.
Britney made a groundbreaking revelation in her latest Instagram post, which features her dancing in a red crop top and black shorts.
She referred to a mysterious “Victoria” throughout her post, writing: “I’m dancing in time now Victoria.”
The Hold Me Closer singer revealed: “Nerve damage on the right side of my body … there’s no cure except God I guess.”
She went on to explain that this type of nerve damage happens “when you don’t get enough oxygen to your brain. Your brain literally shuts down”.
The mum-of-two confessed that the pain and numbness this causes disturbs her sleep, and she often wakes up with her “hands completely numb”.
Britney explained the sensation as: “Nerves are tiny and it feels like pins and needles from the right side of my body. It shoots up to my neck and the part that hurts the worst is my temple on my head.
“It stings and it’s scary.”
The singer also referenced the troubled “place” she was in three years ago where she felt she couldn’t breathe.
She added: “Since I got out of that place I’ve been in a mild unconscious state … I couldn’t face it. It was like it was too scary to be here.”
The Daily Mail reported that the “place” Britney references is apparently a medical facility she was placed in against her will in 2019.
Britney also admitted that her Instagram “has been not up to par to most”, noting the criticism she has gotten for her endless stream of dancing videos and risqué photoshoots.
However, she highlighted that “it gave me existence and got me here”.
Britney added: “It’s funny though when I dance I don’t feel the pain. It’s like my mind literally goes to a place of my inner child.”
The Circus singer also put her fans at ease as she has found medication that offers her relief at last.
She continued: “And although I don’t move like I used to, I truly believe my faith in it gave me strength by the grace of God. I finally found a medication where I actually feel oxygen going to my brain and through my neck.
“My eyes are more open now and I can hold my head up correctly.
“I feel smarter because well, Jesus I can breathe now. Either way, I’m breathing now and I can dance in time, Victoria.”
The star smiled widely as she danced to Pumped Up Kids by Foster The People.
Despite her medical revelations, fans in the comment section were still incredibly concerned about the fact that the singer is seemingly dancing in her old house.
One even declared they need Britney to “hold up a copy of today’s newspaper” as they were “not buying it anymore”.
