Brooke Warne struggling with mental health due to 'disrespectful' film

Brooke Warne says she’s struggling with her mental health due to Channel Nine’s ‘disrespectful’ unauthorised biopic of her late father Shane

Brooke Warne revealed on Monday she is struggling with her mental health following Channel Nine’s announcement it would produce a biopic about her late father Shane.

The 25-year-old attended a non-profit gala in Melbourne on Sunday to promote awareness for both mental health support and suicide prevention.

Speaking to the Herald Sun at the event, Brooke said her involvement with the charity was helping her cope with Nine’s decision to film a telemovie about her father against her family’s wishes.

‘With the extra media scrutiny created by dad’s passing I need to stay mindful to deal with the attention,’ she explained.

‘Especially with the negative aspect, such as the total disrespect shown by Channel Nine in creating a biopic about dad so soon after he passed,’ she added.

It follows Brooke slamming Nine’s announcement they would produce a telemovie based on her father, just months after he died, as ‘beyond disrespectful’.
