After being called out by comedian Nicole Arbour, the ‘Bodak Yellow’ hitmaker says she’s been ‘feeling so hopeless’ trying to make her husband ‘happy’ again following his cousin and Migos bandmate’s passing.
AceShowbiz –Cardi B is speaking out. The “Bodak Yellow” hitmaker is defending her decision after being called out for promoting husband Offset‘s song following Takeoff‘s recent tragic passing.
On Sunday, November 27, comedian Nicole Arbour tweeted, “Yo @iamcardib you gonna send some guys to beat me up in a strip club now cause the truth is inconvenient to you?? Or just drug me and steal my money? Show some damn respect and stop promoting the murder of black men.” Clapping back at the accusation, Cardi wrote, “The fact you trying to use the death of some1 I love to get clout is crazy …..I’m not going to do none of that ….I’m just going to pray for you.”
In another tweet, Cardi added a “cringe Danny Phantom” GIF with a caption that read, “My eye is twitching for violence…I must contain myself.” Not stopping there, the “WAP” spitter stated, “[Offset] hasn’t even been to a studio since Take died so wtf are you talking about ?” after Nicole claimed in a tweet, “Man… few weeks after his cousin was murdered over a dice game, Offset’s making new music about shooting people and shooting places up.”
Earlier that day, Cardi posted a voice note via Twitter. “Stop trying to make points. Stop trying to make what we could do next or what should have been done. Stop trying to be funny to get clout,” she began.
“It has been a couple of weeks and I feel like a lot of people are starting to feel a little bit comfortable with trying to be funny, trying to be say slick s**t. I know that y’all been seeing my Insta stories and y’all see Offset in and out and everything on my stories and everything,” Cardi explained. “We living our life normally but deep down inside our hearts have been so heavy.”
“I feel like if I talk about it, the Internet so desensitized. I feel like if we talk about how we really feel on that, y’all will start saying, ‘Oh sympathy, oh sympathy.’ We don’t want no sympathy. We ain’t no charity case,” Cardi continued. The “I Like It” raptress then stressed, “But, no lie. I have been feeling so hopeless trying to make my husband happy. Trying to make him crack a smile.”
Cardi told her fans that Offset still “randomly cries” following his cousin and Migos groupmate’s tragic death. Cardi also detailed that she’s “seeing him trying to distract his mind” and “trying to keep up with work after everything that he’s been going through these past couple of weeks.”
“We’re not in the mood to be f**king playing around with y’all,” Cardi pointed out. The 30-year-old hip-hop star then warned the online trolls, “Dead a**s. I would dead a**s kill y’all. Stop f**king playing.”
Prior to this, Cardi was photographed comforting Offset at the Los Angeles International Airport. The outing came three weeks after Takeoff’s tragic death. A few hours before the airport photos were released, Offset turned to his Instagram feed to share a close-up photo of Takeoff along with a sweet message that read, “Missing everything bout you specially that smile.”
Takeoff unexpectedly died in a Houston, Texas shooting on November 1. Takeoff was only 28 years old. Recently, Lil Cam 5th a.k.a. Joshua Cameron was arrested in connection to the murder of Takeoff. The teen rapper has been arrested since last week for having unlawfully had a handgun in his possession on the night of Takeoff’s death in Houston.
