Catherine Zeta-Jones, 53, shares her two children, Dylan, 22, and daughter Carys, 19, with her husband Michael Douglas, 78. The Hollywood actress has taken to Instagram to gush over her daughter’s performance in a play at college, as she follows in her parents’ acting footsteps.

Carys looked the image of her mother in the still pictures shared of her from the role, with her long brunette tresses.

Along with the audio of her daughter’s incredible voice, Catherine shared a short message praising her daughter in view of her 5.2 million followers.

Many social media users rushed to the comments to share their congratulations on the career move.

Czjfan said: “Congrats and best of luck to your Carys Zeta… she sounds like an angel, Catherine.

“I can only imagine how proud you and Michael must be of her… natural talent really runs in the family.”

Championmandythe1to1diet added: “Like mother like daughter!”

Mirelle_none commented: “Carys has the perfect voice to be a star.. it would not be surprising for her one day to have the perfect role on Broadway, like here mama @caterinezetajones.”

Catherine herself made her Broadway debut in 2009 with the role of an ageing actress in the musical A Little Night Music, which won her the Tony Award for Best Actress.

Catherine spoke to PEOPLE at the Addams Family series Wednesday premiere in Los Angeles about hearing how “close” her family are to her and their “supportive” ways.

She said: “Both my daughter and Dylan have been so incredibly supportive to me, not just as an actor, but just me, you know.”

The Academy Award winner said she was so happy her son Dylan “actually wants” to spend time with his parents, having attended two premieres alongside his mother in recent months.

Douglas is also a dad to his son Cameron, 43, from his marriage to Diandra Luker.

The Hollywood power couple recently marked 22 years of marriage with a sweet message on Instagram.

She captioned the throwback picture: “22 years and 1 day! It’s in the fine details… love you, sweetheart. Happy Anniversary.”

In the photo, the couple shared a tender smooch outside as a shirtless Michael wrapped an arm around his wife while she planted a kiss.

Catherine has appeared in the Prodigal Son, Wednesday and National Treasure: Edge of History in recent years after taking a break from acting.

The actress appeared to have a three-year sabbatical before returning to star in 2016’s Dad’s Army.

In 2017, she returned to television by portraying the actress Olivia de Havilland in the anthology series Feud.
