Chance The Rapper & His 7-Year-Old Daughter Meeting Martin Short Is Too Adorable!

They say don’t meet your heroes — but if your hero is Martin Short maybe it’s time to rethink that rule!

Chance the Rapper and his 7-year-old daughter Kensli Bennett had the coolest plane ride ever when they ran into the Saturday Night Live alum over the weekend. The rapper, whose real name is Chancellor Johnathan Bennett, took to Twitter to talk about his interaction with Martin — and we’ve got to say it’s the most wholesome thing we’ve heard in a while! The tweet began:

“So I just got on this plane with my daughter, and found out our seats weren’t next to each other. I really ain’t wanna inconvenience anyone by asking them to swap seats, but before I could say anything this kind older gentleman offered his seat to Kensli so we could sit together.”

So sweet!

It was made even sweeter, though, when the little girl’s dad realized it was one of her favorite actors who offered to swap seats:

“We both said thank you and as he stands up, I realize it’s THE Martin Short!! So cool and Kensli freaked out cause she’s obsessed with The Santa Clause 3. What an awesome person! SHOUTOUT TO JACK FROST”

In the post, Chance included a photo of Martin portraying Jack Frost in The Santa Clause 3, the iconic Christmas movie in which the actor faced off against Tim Allen. Ch-ch-check out the tweet (below):

In response to the post, one fan joked they’d have made their daughter sit elsewhere so they could sit next to the Only Murders in the Building star:

“My daughter could have sat by herself. Marty would have been a delight.”

Ha! The 29-year-old Hot Shower rapper responded by joking he’d pitch a new movie to the Three Amigos star:

“Oh thanks so much but the little girl will be fine where she is… *opens laptop* ANYWAYS this a lil script I’ve been working on it’s called ‘Four Amigos!’”

LOLz!!

Now that’s a sequel to a movie we wouldn’t see coming but would gladly welcome with open arms!

A fan asked if the comedy legend had recognized Chance — but according to the rapper, the Father of the Bride actor had no clue who he offered to swap seats with:

“Definitely not, which made it way cooler. He just a nice dude ig”

Seems like a very Martin Short thing to do — and what an awesome encounter!
