Big Brother’s Chantelle says she’d return to ‘find new husband’
Chantelle Houghton first graced our screens when she entered the Celebrity Big Brother house back in 2006.
As a wildcard addition, Chantelle, now 40, was sent in to convince the other housemates that she was part of a famous girl group called Kandy Floss.
But with the show’s imminent return, she has spoken to The Sun about the rumours that she could be going back in.
When asked whether she would consider another round in the Big Brother house, she said: “Hell yes, I’d do Big Brother again, I’d be running there,”
“I mean, it’s however many weeks of no bills, no food shopping, no responsibility.”

She also added: “You get fed, you get watered, you play games, you might even come out the winner. So yeah, absolutely. I’d go back in!”
Despite being unknown, Chantelle went on to win Celebrity Big Brother, which also starred Michael Barrymore, Pete Burns and Jodie Marsh.
And whilst viewers fell in love with Chantelle, she was going through a romance of her own. During their time in the Big Brother house, Chantelle and fellow contestant Samuel Preston embarked on a whirlwind romance, getting married within months of leaving the house.

They split ten months later, and Chantelle went on to have high-profile relationships with TV presenter Rav Wilding and Katie Price’s Ex-husband Alex Reid, with whom she shares a daughter, Dolly, now 11.
Since leaving the house, Chantelle has taken a step back from the limelight, taking up work within the retail sector, including a stint working at The Body Shop.
During her interview with The Sun, she told of how she needed a break from fame for the good of her mental health stating: “I was going through a really awful time. I was abused for a very, very long time.
“I lost myself in a lot of misery and I’m getting myself back bit by bit and enjoying being the person I always was.”
She also spoke of how she now has a focus on her health after years of struggling with her weight and yo-yo dieting.
Chantelle has now ditched the sugar and gone vegan, claiming that she no longer eats any processed foods, which has helped her feel better in both body and mind.
She went on to explain: “I’m in such a great place now, I’ve got a plan for my future and I’m excited about the next chapter of my life.
“I look back on my time in Big Brother with such fond memories, I do feel like it was a different life, but I feel like I’ve lived so many.”
Big Brother returns on Sunday, October 8 at 9 pm on ITV 1, ITV2 and ITV X.
