Charlotte Crosby says lips were ridiculous as she reveals reason for dissolving filler

Former Geordie Shore star Charlotte Crosby has revealed why she dissolved eight years' worth of lip fillers while dubbing them “ridiculous”.

Charlotte, who previously dubbed her partner Jake the “best daddy”, recently appeared on her podcast, Charlotte Crosby Always On, where she discussed the decision to remove her lip fillers.

Speaking in the short clip, which was uploaded to Instagram, Charlotte said: “I did not get my lip fillers dissolved because of trolls because, quite frankly, I’ve been trolled for so long about them I don’t care.

“I absolutely love my lips, but it got to the point, after pregnancy, they had swelled a lot.

“Like in pregnancy, everything swells, you know, your ankles, your face, your wrists, your fingers, your toes, everything swells in pregnancy.”

“I watched a Geordie Shore reunion and I was like, ‘I look ridiculous’,” she added.

“For the first time, I was like, ‘I look ridiculous’.”

Charlotte continued to detail how spending time with her baby daughter, Alba Jean, changed her view on her lip filler.

The former Celebrity Big Brother winner, who starred in the show with celebs like Carol McGiffin, Mario Falcone and Lauren Harries, continued: “Can she even see us over them humungous lips?”

“Can she even see who I am as a person?” she questioned.

Reacting to the clip, one fan wrote: “You do whatever makes you happy Charlotte. We love you.”

“Just be yourself…. That why everyone fell in love with you when you first hit the screens…” another said, as a third added: “You're so pretty, Charlotte! It doesn't matter what your lips look like.”

Charlotte has spoken openly in the past about her lip filler journey, previously dubbing them “grotesque.”

She then teased the “big difference” to her Instagram followers before unveiling the new and improved lips shortly after.

The star said: "I love them, but something has changed inside us.

"This has been 12 years in the making, well not 12… about eight years of filler in these lips and it's taken us eight years to decide they've gotta go."

"It's like you've rewound yourself back to 2013 – just missing that old nose!” said her boyfriend, Jake Ankers, after she showed him.

Charlotte later hit out at Ulrika Jonsson for comparing her lips to “two tyres” and said: "I can't believe we still live in a world where women still want to tear other women down and men also for that matter.

"I cannot help but feel slightly sorry for people who feel the need to tear others apart in a desperate bid for attention. Or to grab a few more readers,” she added.
