Charlotte Crosby ‘working out every day’ after giving birth: ‘I can take on the world’

It's been three months since Charlotte Crosby welcomed her first baby – a gorgeous daughter named Alba – into the world with her boyfriend Jake Ankers.

Last week, fans saw Charlotte share a gorgeous bikini snap looking happier than ever as she enjoyed a getaway to Grantley Hall with Jake.

And it's clear Charlotte hasn't wasted any time getting back into a routine with her fitness, as she revealed to OK! she has been exercising "every day" since she recovered from her C-section.

Speaking about feeling any pressure to “snap back”, the 32 year old said she has been working out because it makes her feel "motivated" and "driven".

"I put a lot of pressure on myself, I always have. As a new mum you have to be realistic. I’m working hard, I work out every day – not just because I want to snap back, but for me exercise is mentally so empowering," said Charlotte.

The star admitted she feels like she can "take on the world" – but advises new mums that there is "no race" or "rule book" to this.

"It makes me feel motivated, positive and driven. When I wake up I do a workout and I literally feel like I can take on the world. I wasn’t working out after my C-section, I had to wait for my recovery and get signed off by the doctor," she shared.

Charlotte continued: "In those six weeks I was putting more and more weight on. That isn’t bad but I didn’t want to go down that route and be even more unhappy.

"Mums shouldn’t beat themselves up about it – you’re going to get there when you get there, there’s no race."

She lastly added: "Do it all in your own time and if you don’t want to do it at all then that’s completely fine as well. There’s absolutely no rule book to this."

Charlotte has been documenting her workouts on Instagram and many fans praised the star, with one writing: "Holy Charlotte! Way to go! Keep pressing forward! One day at a time! Happy to see this post indeed …"

"Bloody hell I couldn't do anything like that for at least 6 months after birth," another wrote. "Fair play to you."

A third added: "Literally don’t know where you find the time @charlottegshore. Smashing it tho and looking amazing. well done you xxx."

Charlotte has been honest about her feelings about her body throughout and after her pregnancy, as she admitted she is "feeling fabulous".

She shared with her fans: "Right so! I still haven't weighed myself again since my 3 pound loss.

"Atm I'm not a***d about what the scales are saying because I'm feeling fabulous!!!!

"But I will check back in with the dreaded scales once my periods been and gone! Because it is good to see where I'm at and if all this hard work is paying off."

Charlotte In Sunderland launches on 1 February at 10pm on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer
