Chrissy Teigen begs fans to stop pregnancy questions as she reveals IVF journey

Chrissy Teigen has been praised for opening up about her IVF journey in a candid post on Instagram.

In 2020, the model, 36, shared the heartbreaking news that her third pregnancy, with son Jack, had ended early at 20 weeks.

Taking to Instagram, she explained that she was undergoing more fertility treatments to expand her family with husband John Legend, 43.

Alongside a snap showing her stretching, the author begged fans to stop asking people if they’re pregnant at any point.

‘Hiiii. I posted about it in my stories, but I wanted to let you guys know I’m b***s deep in another IVF cycle to save as many eggos as I possibly can and hopefully make some strong, healthy embryos,’ she began.

‘I honestly don’t mind the shots…they make me feel like a doctor/chemist…but the bloating is a b***h, so I humbly beg you to stop asking if I’m pregnant because while I know it’s said with excited, good intentions, it just kind of sucks to hear because I am the opposite of pregnant!

‘But also like please stop asking people, anyone, if they’re pregnant.

‘I said this in the comments and got yelled at because the internet is wild but I’d rather be the one to tell you and not some poor woman who will look you in the eyes through tears and that’s how you finally learn. Anyhow, Iove youuuuu??’

Fans quickly showered Chrissy with love in the comments section, thanking her for being so honest and bringing ‘awareness’ to fertility issues.

‘Thank you for this. Not for me, but for all the amazing women in my life I know that are going through this,’ a follower commented.

‘You are amazing,’ another agreed. ‘Love your honesty and hearing about your journey. It’s so important that we hear about this from celebs to help normalise it. THANK YOU for who you are!’

‘I cannot believe people think it’s acceptable to ask or comment about being pregnant or not. Thanks for using your platform to bring awareness to this, ivf, loss and so many struggles,’ one said.

‘You are awesome for sharing your journey with us. Thank you,’ an Instagram user commented, as a fan simply added: ‘On behalf of so many women, thank you.’

Chrissy and John conceived Jack naturally, having gone through IVF treatment to welcome Luna and Miles.

On October 1, 2020, the star confirmed that she had suffered a pregnancy loss, less than two months after she announced her baby news.

Alongside heartbreaking pictures from the hospital, she wrote on Instagram: ‘We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we’ve never felt before. We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn’t enough.

‘We never decide on our babies’ names until the last possible moment after they’re born, just before we leave the hospital.  But we, for some reason, had started to call this little guy in my belly Jack.  So he will always be Jack to us.  Jack worked so hard to be a part of our little family, and he will be, forever.

‘To our Jack – I’m so sorry that the first few moments of your life were met with so many complications, that we couldn’t give you the home you needed to survive.  We will always love you.’
