Christine Lampard is married to one of the most successful footballers of all time – so it’s no surprise she believes they have a future Lioness in the making.

The Lorraine host has revealed that their talented daughter Patricia loves football so much she has joined a club – at just three years old.

Speaking exclusively to OK!, Christine, 42, said: “Patricia is so good at kicking a ball, she goes to a football class every week at the minute. And my little boy Freddie – he loves kicking a ball too. They kick the ball to each other.

"Frank has been training them up since they could walk!"

Patirica’s passion couldn't come at a better time with the England Lionesses creating a defining moment for women’s football after their incredible Euro win, smashing Germany 2-1.

Their stunning success has been praised by the Duke of Cambridge, and president of the Football Association, Prince William.

But while she’s following in her dad’s footsteps, Christine says Patricia has started to take a keen interest in her line of work, too.

She said: “Patricia watches me on TV and she does a lot of jumping at the telly, going ‘mummy, mummy, mummy’. I took her in recently into Loose Women and she got very shy and nervous, but she loved it.

“I don’t think of myself as a role model – I just think of myself as a mummy who cooks and cleans and wipes bottoms a lot of the time. The most important thing is I’m doing something I love.”

Christine is currently standing in for Lorraine Kelly with co-host Ranvir Singh on ITV’s Lorraine for the summer after previously taking a step back from full-time presenting.

She explained: “I stepped away because I decided to have children. I say decided but I was slightly blessed with it much later. So I spent all my twenties and thirties doing anything I wanted.

“When they came along I thought, this is the new chapter.

"There have been a few opportunities I’ve turned down that would have involved being away from home for long chunks of time, but I just don’t want to do it anymore.

"Although, weirdly I feel like I’m busier than ever. It’s non-stop.”

Frank, 44, who Christine met at the Pride of Britain awards in 2009, currently lives 220 miles away from the family in Liverpool for his job as Everton manager. But when he’s home he pulls his weight.

“There’s no timetable or plan with the kids – you just do what you have to do,” she said. “Frank is brilliant when he gets back home. They adore him – it’s like God has walked in."
