Loose Women: Coleen Nolan on what went wrong’ in past relationship

Loose Women’s Coleen Nolan is reportedly feeling nervous about the future with her boyfriend Michael Jones after her past relationship woes.

The couple, who met on Tinder in 2020, are reportedly considering taking the next step in their relationship and moving in together.

However, a source claimed to OK! Magazine: “There’s a little bit of fear of moving in together from Coleen.

“They’re a great couple, but it’s just the fear that when someone’s over-nice, you think, ‘I’m not used to this’.”

When Coleen called things off last year, she said she was “freaked out” and “not used to a partner showing affection”.

But, after regrouping, the pair have reportedly “never been happier”.

The outlet’s source added: “She needed time to think about the other side – when the partner’s not being faithful.

“She’s had all that with Shane [Richie, her ex-husband], but realised Michael wouldn’t treat her that way.

“Sometimes you don’t realise you like to be loved, and I think that is definitely the case with Coleen. And the kids are supportive and like him.”

After reuniting with Michael in June, Coleen announced the news on Loose Women.

“I’ve never been with anyone who’s made me feel that 100%,” she said.

“Now that I have truly opened myself up to it, I have never been happier.” The TV chat show star has previously been divorced twice.

Coleen was previously married to actor Shane Richie, after the pair first met in 1986 when they were both in their early twenties.

They went on to have two sons together, Jake Roche, 30 and Shane Ritchie Jr, 33.

Over the years the stars have spoken on separate occasions about the difficult times in their marriage and how it came to a devastating end.

Coleen began to become suspicious after she spotted a brunette woman in the corner of a room at an industry party for one of Shane’s musicals in 1996.

She recalled on Loose Women: “At the after-show party I can distinctly remember examining this one girl. There were loads of people there but she just stood out.

“She had really long dark hair and was wearing a skin-tight white dress.

“Well, it must have been female intuition because that turned out to be the girl Shane had an affair with.”

In his autobiography Rags to Riches, Shane confirmed he had cheated on Coleen with the dancer and actress in question, Claire Taylor.

The couple eventually split in 1999, before Coleen moved on to marry musician Ray Fensome.

Together, they have a daughter Ciara, 21, and they eventually divorced in 2018.
