MTV Video Music Awards viewers believe Justin Timberlake and Megan Thee Stallion were caught having a ‘fiery clash’ backstage.
The Sexy Back singer and Cry Baby rapper were spotted on camera seemingly exchanging some heated words behind-the-scenes at the biggest event of the music calendar.
Megan was performing with Cardi B at the awards ceremony at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, while Justin was there to present an award with his NSYNC bandmates.
The mood at the celebratory event quickly changed when Megan, 28, began pointing her finger at the Cry Me A River singer.
While the rapper was getting her hair and make-up touched up, it seemed that either something Timberlake said or just his presence angered her.

Viewers were unable to work out what the pair were saying to each other but many claimed it did not look like a happy conversation.
Justin started saying something back to her, then simply rolled his eyes before going back to where he was standing.
He was joined by NSYNC bandmates JC Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, and Chris Kirkpatrick.
However, a close source has insisted there is no bad blood and Megan was just interested in actually meeting Timberlake,
They told Variety: “He said, ‘It’s so nice to meet you,’ and she said ‘No, no this don’t count, this don’t count. We gotta meet proper.’
“It was very cute,” the source added.

VMAs viewers went on Twitter to speculate over the clash – and many had theories on why the pair were arguing.
“Megan Thee Stallion and Justin Timberlake appear to be fighting backstage at the VMAs,” said one viewer.
Another added: “Did Justin Timberlake say something to piss off Megan Thee Stallion? We still haven’t forgiven you for what you did to Janet Jackson. Do we have a problem?”
But another said: “Seeing this video circulating with people saying Megan Thee Stallion and Justin Timberlake were arguing backstage at the VMAs. But it looks like a joking exchange. Megan appears to say something like, “This doesn’t count” at the end. Who knows.”
It comes after NSYNC walked out there was a huge cheer from the audience – and Taylor Swift could barely contain herself.
The Blank Space singer proved she really is just one of us as she struggled to get through her Best Pop acceptance speech.
“I’m not doing well pivoting from this to this. I had your dolls,” she explained.
“I’m like are you doing something? What’s happening now? They’re doing something and I need to know what it is. You’re pop personified. It’s too much.”
