Danniella Westbrook showed off her makeover as she posed in a stunning dress at the recent London Lifestyle Awards.

The former EastEnders actress, 48, wore a shimmering gown with a low back as she posed on some ornate stairs at the iconic Landmark Hotel.

Opting for a glamorous make-up palette with a nude lip, Danniella also wore her blonde tresses in a blown out style.

Her dress clung to her frame and had a strappy detail on the back which she showed off while looking over her shoulder towards the camera.

She posted the photo to her Instagram page, saying the dress was by Kiss Me Kate while her make-up was by Essex make-up artist Twisted Vanity.

The awards show was held last Thursday, and celebrates the best that living in London has to offer from a variety of businesses – including beauty, restaurants and bars, theatre and live entertainment, and more.

The actress has recently undergone facial reconstructive surgery to help rebuild her collapsed nose and damaged cheekbones – caused by a combination of both substance abuse and health issues.

She damaged her nasal septum from prolonged drug and alcohol abuse, while some bones in her face have broken down due to having osteoporosis.

The star now finds herself in a much better place following her drug addiction – but has still faced a number of health scares in recent months.

Recently, the star shared snaps of her in a hospital late at night just weeks after she was hospitalised due to a blood infection.

She uploaded a video of her walking down an empty corridor late at night, before sharing a snap in a hospital corridor writing "another day another hospital".

Just weeks prior, she was rushed to hospital with bloodstream infection septicaemia, which left her bedridden for several days as she recovered from the illness.

A rep for the star told The Sun at the time: "Danniella suffered a sudden health shock.

"Thankfully the issue was caught early and dealt with by medical professionals. Danniella has been released from hospital and is home recovering with the support of close family.

"We are grateful that Danniella hasn’t suffered from any major risks.

"Danniella appreciates everyone’s immediate support and we will be sure to issue updates on her ongoing recovery accordingly."

The actress also had a well-publicised battle with drugs in the past, and famously had her nose reconstructed after her septum collapsed from excessive cocaine use in 2002.

But since then, the star embarked on a number of stints in rehab and was finally clean in June of last year after attending a clinic in Mijas, Spain.

In a recent interview on This Morning, Danniella told hosts Dermot O'Leary and Alison Hammond: "I'm happy to be alive after everything I put myself through

"I'm looking forward to being a nanny, I'm just so happy with this chapter that I'm in. And I think I just needed to get there myself, but it was just learning to like me a little bit.

"I'm working through lots of stuff still, but putting the drugs down was hard, but keeping the ego down too

"I go to loads of meeting, I have a sponsor and the 12 step process. I check in every day."
