Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Asks For His Controversial Wax Figure To Be Fixed – 'Starting With My Skin Color'

DwayneThe RockJohnson is having a laugh over his wax figure. But like… it’ sa little serious, too.

Last week, the Black Adam star’s newest wax figure debuted at the Grévin Museum in Paris, France, and it’s one of the most controversial we’ve seen in a long time! If you haven’t seen it, the artists behind the sculpture made the wax figure’s skin color several shades lighter than the WWE star’s — something folks online could not BELIEVE was still happening in 2023!

Comedian James Andre Jefferson Jr. made fun of in an Instagram upload! On Friday, he roasted the figure, saying things like:

“They turned The Rock into albino Rock”

“It looks like The Rock ain’t never seen the sun a day in his life”

“You made The Rock look like he’s David Beckham

“It looks like The Rock is about to be a part of the royal family”

LOLz!! And the Fast & Furious actor definitely took notice! On Sunday, he reposted the clip to his own page, writing:

“I knew my boy @jamesjeffersonj had this Rock wax statue in his roasting crosshairs. ‘is this how y’all felt when you lost The Little Mermaid?’ legit belly laughed at this”

This, of course, was a reference to the racist backlash over Black actress Halle Bailey being cast as the Disney princess, who was animated as white in the 1989 adaptation.

It may all be a laughable moment for the 51-year-old, but make no mistake — he’s making calls to have it fixed, too. He added in his post:

“For the record, I’m going to have my team reach out to our friends at Grévin Museum, in Paris France so we can work at “updating” my wax figure here with some important details and improvements- starting with my skin color”

“Some important details.” Yeah! He concluded:

“And next time I’m in Paris, I’ll stop in and have a drink with myself”

And the Grevin Museum listened! On Monday, they assured Deadline in a statement:

“Dwayne Johnson is right and we noticed it and will obviously remedy it as quickly as possible and send him new photos once completed. We are waiting for him when he will come to Paris and the Grevin Wax Museum to celebrate that with a cup of champagne.”
