This Morning: Mr Motivator discusses training Eamonn Holmes
Eamonn Holmes has undoubtedly shocked fans by revealing the lengths he would go to in order to be free of his back pain – and his admission might disgust some readers.
He has caused division between himself and wife of 13 years Ruth Langsford over treatments – and says he’d even be willing to “drink horse pee”.
The 63-year-old GB News star explained to Best magazine: “Ruth shakes her head if I’ve been trying an alternative treatment, but honestly, I would drink horse pee if it worked for me.”
The woeful breakfast show host added: “I spend a lot of money on trying to get better.”
His chronic pain issues began during the pandemic, and have scarcely ceased since, with his latest efforts involving spinal decompression.

He admitted on GB News that he was yet to recover from the string of unfortunate events, after dislocating his pelvis, slipping discs in his back and suffering an agonising fall down the stairs just two weeks after an operation.
“I can’t run, I can’t walk, I can’t do anything except watch TV and eat,” he lamented.
Prior to his more recent health woes, Eamonn also had a double hip replacement back in 2016, which he admitted he’d been putting off “for years”.
However, two years ago he announced that using a circulation-boosting device had made the difference between whether or not he was able to “get out there” and walk his dog.

“It gives these pulses through your feet and legs and really, really helps with your circulation,” he explained on ITV’s This Morning at the time.
“I credit this with getting me back out on the golf course, getting me out there walking the dog – much to Ruth’s approval.”
Eamonn has also tried various types of physiotherapy and even ice cold showers in a bid to keep the agony away.
He added that he finds it “absolutely scary” how many other people live with the same chronic pain issues, after fans reached out on Instagram with stories of their own.
“Nobody knows what it’s like unless they live with someone who has it,” he explained.
“I’m in huge pain and nobody knows how to stop it. This hurts like hell and I need to find a way to overcome it.”
He added that he is unable to remember a time when he was living his life without pain.
