Catherine Zeta Jones shares birthday message for Michael Douglas
Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones have posted heartwarming tributes to each other on their shared birthday, September 25.
Hollywood star Michael turns 89 this year whilst Welsh actress Catherine is 54.
Michael began the celebrations on Instagram by posting a snap of him kissing his smiling wife of 23 years on the forehead.
“Have a great new year darling!” he wrote in the caption. “Wishing you a very happy birthday! All my love, Michael.”
His wife replied to his post: “Thank you! and Happy Birthday to you too darling.”

Later, Wednesday star Catherine took her tribute a step further by uploading a touching montage of Michael’s life up till now.
“It’s Michael’s Birthday! It my Birthday!” she said. “Happy birthday @michaelkirkdouglas, love you!” (sic)
The video began with photos from the star’s childhood, in which he’s barely recognisable as the iconic star fans know today.

In several pics he’s seen smiling and laughing with his equally famous father, movie star Kirk Douglas, who died in 2020.
As the video moves on, Michael starts to look more and more like the Spartacus actor as he grows older and develops a movie career of his own.
The photo gallery, set to The Cramps’ version of Fever, goes on to reveal snaps of the stars during their first years of dating and marriage.
Their two children, Dylan and Carys, also make an appearance in some adorable family photos.

Fans of the Hollywood power couple were thrilled to get a rare glimpse into their life as a family.
