Kacey Ainsworth, best known for her role as Little Mo inEastEndershas left fans stunned as she shows off her natural hair.

The 53 year old soap star, who hadpreviously changed her look when filming The Mallorca Files , took to Instagram to share her natural curls.

She wrote: “This is my natural hair. Just air dried. Been inspired by the #curlygirl stories on #insta to stop blow drying the bejesus outta my hair.

“Those who knew me in the 80s will have hazy memories of this style.. Haven’t had it cut in yonks and about to go to a friends bbq who has never seen the real me!”


The former EastEnders actress added that any curly hair advice is welcomed.

Fellow ex-EastEnder, Tracy-Ann Oberman, told her: "It's stunning K [heart emoji]”

And Motherland’s Tanya Moodie commented: “GORGEOUS.”

While Holby City's Angela Lonsdale spoke in emojis commenting with a number of fire and heart emojis.

Fans also shared the love for Kacey’s look, with one writing: “Yesss loving the curls! Wish my hair had curls like yours.”

A second added: “Absolutely love this, I am trying to go au naturale but always looking a lion.”

Kacey joined the EastEnders cast in 2000,along with the rest of the Slater sisters , who quickly became staples of the show’s history.

Little Mo was certainly at the heart of some of the show’s drama with her first husband, the violent Trevor, who Mo hit with an iron in an iconic 2001 episode.

Her love life was as troubled as any soap characters, hooking up with Billy Mitchell, Trevor’s enemy, and then embarking on an affair with brother-in-law Alfie Moon.

Since leaving the soap in 2006 she has appeared as Cathy Keating in ITV drama Grantchester, and has even had a stint as a guest panellist onLoose Women .

She has also taken to the stage as Mrs. Lovett in a revival of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, at Liverpool's Everyman Theatre.

The actress is currently filming season eight of Grantchester, which she announced on Instagram.

She wrote: “Been absolutely BURSTING to say this … SEASON 8 ! Filming has begun … our #happyplace”

Fans on the show were excited to hear of it’s return, with one commenting: “Oh my giddy aunt! I thought last series ended so neatly that it may be the last. Wonderful news, thank you.”

“Its made my day. Absolutely love Grantchester would be lost without it,” added another.
