Riley Keough’s husband confirms they have a daughter
Riley Keough spoke openly about her battle with Lyme disease as she sought out health treatment.
The 34-year-old actress spoke openly to the magazine about her “complicated” family situation, the decision to use a surrogate for her baby and her health woes.
The actress, who was on holiday with her family in Switzerland during the interview, recently received her first-ever Emmy nomination for her lead role in the Amazon Prime limited series Daisy Jones & the Six.
When asked why she was in Switzerland, she told Vanity Fair: “I have Lyme disease.
“I used this little break that I have to come and try and see if I can alleviate it a bit. It’s a holistic treatment center and offers all kinds of things that you can’t really do in America yet, like cleaning your blood.”

During her interview, she spoke about her decision not to carry her daughter and also made reference to her Lyme disease saying: “I can carry children, but it felt like the best choice for what I had going on physically with the autoimmune stuff.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Riley said she was feeling better after 15 days of treatment and claimed it was the first thing she’s tried that worked.

Riley chose the interview as the perfect time to announce the name of her daughter, something which she’s not made public until now.
Her daughter’s name is Tupelo Storm Smith-Petersen.
Tupelo is a reference to Elvis’ birthplace in Mississippi, and Riley explained how she picked the name because it was a great way of honouring her grandfather but wasn’t as well known as a name like Memphis.
However, her plans were somewhat scuppered when the Elvis movie was released and featured many mentions of Elvis’ birthplace.
The middle name is a tribute to her late brother, Benjamin Storm Keough, who died in 2020 aged just 27.
Things haven’t been easy in recent years for Riley.
Her mother Lisa-Marie Presley, died in January 2023 following complications of prior weight loss surgery.
She then was embroiled in a legal battle with her grandmother Priscilla Presley over her mother’s estate which included Graceland and Elvis Presley Enterprises, which is said to be worth around $500 million.
The lawsuit with her grandmother was settled in June after Riley agreed to pay her a million dollars and cover her $400,000 in legal fees in exchange for becoming the sole trustee of Lisa Marie’s estate.
