Emily Andre’s gruelling pregnancy – ‘relentless nausea’, tears and hospital dashes

Back in October, Peter Andre and his wife Emily announced the happy news they’re expecting their third child together.

The couple are clearly excited about the arrival of a little brother or sister for Millie, nine, and Theo, seven, and of course Pete’s older children, Princess, 16, and 18-year-old Junior.

But despite putting on a brave face and emphasising how grateful she is, Emily, 34, who is due to give birth in spring, hasn’t had the easiest of pregnancies.

Relentless nausea and reflux lasted long past the first trimester, and she admits she shed “a few tears” when she couldn’t even enjoy a cup of tea or eat a meal without feeling sick.

She told OK!: “When I ate, it got worse, so I had months of having to basically eat rabbit food.

“I’m starting to be able to enjoy food again now and it’s lovely.

“I’m getting the nursery blinds made and we’ve been up in the loft to dig out what we need. I found a teeny babygrow and some little bonnets and socks the other day, and I suddenly felt very excited.”

Pete, 50, added that it’s been an “emotional roller coaster” for NHS doctor Emily – and there’s even been a couple of accident and emergency stops along the way.

He explained: “I was due to go on stage in Grease in the West End and I got a call saying, ‘Emily’s been rushed to A&E.’ It was really worrying and obviously I immediately went to support her, but thankfully everything was OK.”

The couple previously took to Instagram to share the news another baby is on the way.

Alongside a snap of them holding up the ultrasound scan to the camera, Peter wrote alongside: "We are delighted to share the news with you all. A new addition to our family in 2024 The kids are so excited, So are we."

It came after the singer hinted he was open to having a fifth child earlier this year when he was speaking about parenthood to Vicky Pattison on her podcast The Secret To.

When asked about whether or not he would like another child in the future, Peter candidly replied: "Children… I was like, when I get to 50 I'm done and then I find myself having conversations with Em going, 'Yeah you know, if we did have another child, where would we put Junior?'"

He added: "I can't even believe we have those conversations and that makes me think that I just don't know, it's just one of those things. It's just weird that we even have those conversations, so I don't know."
