Ferne McCann says ‘a lot has been going on’ as she speaks out after voice note drama

Ferne McCann has admitted “a lot of has been going on” as she spoke out amid the voice note drama and opened up about looking forward to a new year.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, the 32 year old told the camera that it felt “strange” to be talking directly to her 2.9 million followers after keeping a low profile on the social media site following voice notes allegedly featuring her voice being leaked in September and November.

The first voice notes, which were released by a mystery Instagram account, appeared to show Ferne talking disparagingly about her close friends and former TOWIE co-stars Sam Faiers and Billie Shepherd, including calling Sam a “narcissistic b***h”.

The account then released further voice notes in November, with one showing Ferne appearing to call a victim of her ex-boyfriend Arthur Collins’ 2017 acid attack “ugly” and a “silly b***h”.

Ferne released a lengthy apology in regards to the voice notes about Sophie Hall and said they had been “manipulated” and she had said things to “protect” her family, but she is yet to comment on the voice notes about Sam and Billie.

Speaking to her Instagram followers before New Year’s Eve, Ferne opened up to her fans about taking a break.

She said: “Hey my darlings, wow this feels strange. This feels very ,very strange because I haven’t spoke on my Insta Story or spoke to you guys for such a long time.

“It kind of feels strange not doing it because I’m so used to sharing everything with you, silly things that have happened throughout my day, but also it feels strange because I feel rusty and I feel like there’s been a lot going on that has just made pause and want to take time away, even though I’ve still been sharing stuff, but time away from getting so swamped in an Instahole.”

The reality star, who has her own ITVBe show First Time Mum with daughter Sunday, five, went on to explain that she is currently in bed with a cold, “wheezy cough” and headache, but she wanted to wish her followers well and share her aims for 2023.

She continued: “New year is approaching and I always feel very excited about welcoming the new year in and setting my intentions and figuring out what I want from the new year.

“I’m going to go so gung ho on manifesting and just being really pure and clear with my intentions and goal setting. I just really wanted to send you guys all love as I’s not always easy is it?”

Ferne then revealed the advice she has for people going through a tough time after a tough 2022 herself.

“If you’re going through a hard time and you’re feeling like life isn’t easy and you’re stuck in a situation where you that feel you just can’t escape from,” she said.

“My advice to you is to, I always say this in my captions, I don’t know if anyone ever picks up on it, but just surround yourself with those that love you the most and make it through to the next day.

“One step in front of the other. There is always good times ahead that’s why I feel super excited about the new year, it just brings so much hope for everyone and I just feel like it’s going to produce so much positivity in my life.

“By creating that list and setting my dreams and goals and I wanted to share that with you. I’m sending so much love to everyone single one of you.”

Ferne has lots to look forward to in 2023, including wedding planning with her fiancé Lorri Haines, who popped the question in France back in July.

Businessman Lorri has stuck by his fiancée’s side throughout the drama and gushed that they are now “family” on his Instagram.
