Gemma Owen's fans think she's "taking a swipe" at ex-boyfriend Luca Bish with her caption in a recent Instagram post.
The 19 year old took to the social media platform to post a promo snap for her collaboration with Pretty Little Thing, and she looked stunning in a light brown roll-neck jumper which she teamed with grey jeans.
Gemma, the daughter of footballer Michael Owen, wore her raven tresses down and tumbling around her shoulders, whilst she rocked her usual bronzed makeup palette as she clutched a hot chocolate.
The Love Island star's caption has raised eyebrows though, as it read: "Tried it, didn’t like it."
Some fans thought it might have been a dig at her ex-boyfriend Luca, who she met on Love Island and split from last month after three months of dating.
"Don't forget your heart," said one follower. "This caption definitely is not about hot chocolate, you like honesty so let's be honest!" said another.
A third commented: "You tried hot chocolate and didn't like it, or something else? x" while another even tagged Luca and wrote: "Talking about you."
Another fan brought the positivity as they said: "Ignore all the negativity gem we all love you so much and we’re here supporting you every single step of the way."
Gemma previously announced her split from Luca on Instagram, as she wrote: "To all my followers, I wanted to let you know that Luca and I are no longer in a relationship. It wasn't an easy decision but ultimately this is what is best for us both right now."
The young star went on: "Many of you have been on this journey with us from the beginning, and I wanted to thank you for your continued support as we start our new chapters."
Luca broke his silence hours later as he said he would have liked "some time" to process the decision "privately" .
Gemma then recently opened up on the split as she said "it's not a nice time."
"Having to deal with the press and other people’s opinions, and people thinking that they know what’s going on when they don’t, that’s been challenging," Gemma told Goss.ie.
Gemma has been enjoying a lucrative career since her stint on Love Island in the summer, having signed a reported six-figure deal to become an ambassador for Pretty Little Thing, one of the UK's biggest online retailers.
She's also the face of the equestrian range for luxury country-chic clothing brand Holland Cooper.
Gemma is a huge fan of horses, and is the proud owner of a stunning black one, named Sirius Black after the fictional character in Harry Potter.
