GMB news correspondent Katy Rickitt, who is former Coronation Street star Adam Rickitt’s wife, wished fans a “happy hump day” via her Instagram account as she stripped off.
Followers were left astonished as she peeled off layer after layer in a long process which ended in her showing off leggings and a vest top.
Katy was wearing no fewer than seven layers on her top half – or eight if her neon orange coat was included – and three pairs of trousers on her bottom half.
“Happy #humpday! Proving its not just the #calendarboys who can strip!” she joked to her 21,000 followers as she shared the eye-opening video footage.
“People often say you look smaller in ‘real life’ than on the telly… for me there’s a reason!” she continued, with a tears of laughter emoji.

“This is genuinely the amount of layers I’m wearing at the moment to stand outside at 6am… come December I’ll add scarf, hat and a dry robe in between lives!”
Referring to her two pet dogs who were circling around at her feet during the impromptu strip, she chuckled: “Hope you enjoy the girls sniffing each other’s bottoms!”
She then laughed: “Yea I’m aware all the stripping pulled out the tag on my long johns .. #sexytimes.”

@charlotteincheshire suggested that Katy should try to “snuggles with the pooches to keep warm” as she marvelled at her multi-layer technique.
@karl__blendell had a different pastime in mind, as he joked: “You’d be no fun at strip poker!”
“Good job you’re really slim, or you’d look like the Michelin man!” @ali_umpleby chimed in.
@anthonywestwood7 exclaimed that she resembled “a Russian Doll with all those layers”, while @juliep416 quipped: “More skins than an onion , but I can’t say I blame you!”

Meanwhile, Katy – who has claimed she is regularly told she looks smaller in real life than on television – has previously supported other presenters over weight jibes they’ve received.
Last year, when a troll branded Susanna Reid “very chunky” after catching a snap of her alongside one of Dame Joan Collins, she sprang into action.
“Why do people think this is ok?!” she raged on Twitter, before empathising: “I had one ‘Oh isn’t your nose big from the side?'”
She concluded by describing Susanna as “gorgeous” and, referring to the social media user’s online avatar, she declared: “The fact this person is a cartoon pic says it all.”
