Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Graham Nash has been announced as the recipient of the 2023 John Lennon Real Love Award.

Nonprofit Theatre Within will present the award to Nash at the 43rd annual John Lennon Tribute due to be held on December 2.

Nash will play some of his favorite John Lennon/Beatles classics at Town Hall in New York.

Rosanne Cash, Judy Collins and Rita Coolidge also will perform at the John Lennon Tribute, where drummer/percussionist Rich Pagano will serve as music director.

Proceeds from the event will support Theatre Within’s free programs in creative expression and mindfulness, including the John Lennon Real Love Project.

“This is a very special award,” said Nash. “I thank Yoko and the Theatre Within for thinking of me. Over many years, I watched John and Yoko ‘fight the good fight’ for many whose voices were not being heard, a fight that Yoko continues to this day. I’m proud to be associated with the many fine artists who were previously honored with the John Lennon Real Love Award.”

“With its joyful Annual John Lennon Tribute and John Lennon Real Love Project, Theatre Within is furthering the vision that John and I shared for a better world,” said Lennon’s widow Yoko Ono.
