Harry and Meghan ‘betrayed agreement with the Queen’, expert claims

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have "betrayed their agreement with the Queen", a royal expert has claimed.

The couple sensationally stepped down as senior members of the royal family in 2020 after reaching an agreement with the late Queen.

Following the news of their departure, Harry and Meghan vowed that “everything they do" would "continue to uphold the values of Her Majesty”.

A Palace statement released on behalf of the late Queen at the time also read: “Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved members of my family."

“It is my whole family’s hope that today’s agreement allows them to start building a happy and peaceful new life.”

Despite Harry and Meghan's pledge, they have launched a series of extraordinary attacks on the royal family (Harry's immediate family) and the institution once headed up by the Queen, who passed away in September.

The first bombshells came in Harry and Meghan's now infamous interview with Oprah Winfrey, which aired in March 2021.

In it, Meghan and Harry claimed that a senior royal made a racist remark about what colour their son Archie's skin would be when he was born.

Following the documentary, the Queen released a statement which said: “The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan.

"The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning. While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately. Harry, Meghan, and Archie will always be much loved family members."

The royal family are said to be bracing themselves for more claims from the couple, after their Netflix documentary was finally released today.

Whilst the first three episodes focused most prominently on Harry and Meghan's love story, there are three more to come next week which will likely delve into their relationship with Harry's family, suggested by the explosive trailers ahead of the show being aired.

Prior to the series dropping on Netflix, royal author Phil Dampier claimed that the couple have disrespected the late Queen and Harry's father, King Charles III.

Dampier told the Express: “Whatever their alleged grievances, the way that Harry and Meghan have behaved is a total betrayal exclusive of the Queen’s legacy.

"They have acted in a completely unacceptable way despite the attempts of the late Queen and his father to hold out an olive branch."

When he became King, Charles made his love for Harry and Meghan clear in his first speech to the nation since his mother's death in September.

During the televised address to the nation, King Charles said: “I want to express my love for Harry and Meghan as they continue to build their lives overseas.”
