The ‘Heroes’ alum and her abusive ex-boyfriend reportedly remain ‘friends’ despite being pictured together at Los Angeles International Airport ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday.

AceShowbiz –Hayden Panettiere isn’t cutting all ties with her ex-boyfriend Brian Hickerson despite their history of abusive romance. The actress has sparked reconciliation rumors with the convicted felon as they were spotted going on a trip together.

On Wednesday, November 23, the two were spotted inside a departures terminal at Los Angeles International Airport, one day before the Thanksgiving holiday. They kept a distance between them as Hayden walked slightly ahead of the estate agent.

The 33-year-old actress wore a black jacket and blue jeans with a small backpack and a tan baseball cap. She was glued to her phone while holding her suitcase with one hand. As for Brian, he dressed casually in a black T-shirt and a black cap which he put on backwards, while carrying a large backpack.

Despite their holiday trip together, Hayden and Brian reportedly remain just “friends.” A source tells E! News, “Hayden and Brian have remained friends as he’s sought professional help to turn his life around. This was a condition of her remaining friends with him.”

Hayden and Brian were dating on-and-off for four years before they appeared to have called it quits for good earlier this year, after they got involved in a fight at the Sunset Marquis hotel in Los Angeles in March. Brian acknowledged it was “not one of the finer moments” in his life, but it prompted him to go “to treatment and get help.”

Opening up about her abusive relationship in the midst of her alcohol and opioid addiction, Hayden told PEOPLE, “It was a very dark and complicated time in my life. But a lot of women go through what I went through, and I want people to know it’s OK to ask for help. None of it is OK. But I want to make sure that everybody knows that each person who goes through something like that, they’re on their own journey. No two things are exactly alike.”

The two remained friends, but Brian ruled out a reconciliation with the “Nashville” alum in July. He told TMZ that they’re “absolutely not” together any more as he was “looking forward to new chapters.”
