Helen Flanagan is said to be eyeing up signing for the next series of E4's Celebs Go Dating, after splitting from her footballer fiancé, Scott Sinclair.
Show bosses are reportedly keen to get the former Coronation Street actress on board for the show, which sees a panel of dating experts lining up a group of celebrities with non-celebrity partners in a quest to find 'The One'.
The Sun reports that the team behind the show think Helen, 32, is the "perfect candidate" for the show, after she and Scott, with whom she shares three children, went their separate ways last year after 13 years together.
A source told the publication: “Helen is the perfect candidate for Celebs Go Dating and E4 is hoping that she will agree to take part when they approach her for the new series.
“She is a television pro thanks to her time on Corrie and is incredibly glamorous.
“Helen would be the star signing for the show and the production team have put her name at the top of their wish list as they think she would be a hit with viewers. Helen only split from Scott five months ago so it’s still very early days for her in terms of finding love."
The source described Helen as a "devoted mum" to her three children: Matilda, seven, Delilah, four, and Charlie, one, and said that Celebs Go Dating producers feel that she "might be open to dipping her toe back into the dating pool".
It also explained that E4 would "pull out all the stops" to get Helen on board.
OK! has contacted Helen's representatives for comment.
Helen and Scott are thought to have split in the latter half of last year, after Helen was reported to have thought her engagement ring breaking was a "bad omen".
The former couple first started dating back in 2009, and the pair got engaged in 2018 during a family holiday to Disneyland Paris.
They welcomed first child Matilda in 2015, while their second daughter Delilah was born in 2018. Their son Charlie came into the world in 2021.
Despite splitting up, the pair are said to be committed to raising their three children in a positive co-parenting manner.
The last year of Celebs Go Dating saw ex-EastEnders star Gary Lucy strike up a romance with former Love Islander, Laura Anderson.
Despite them being on the show to romance a non-celebrity, their attraction to each other was clearly too strong, and they went public with their relationship in November.
In February, Laura announced that she was pregnant with Gary's child, before it emerged that the pair had split up, but are intending co-parent their baby amicably.
