Ronan Keating has shown off a huge new tattoo he got to pay tribute to his wife Storm.

The Boyzone singer, 45, got a tattoo of a Japanese samurai warrior named after his wife, 40, saying that it embodies everything his wife is.

He posted a photo of his new ink on his Instagram feed, where he wrote: "Say hello to my latest creation my Japanese samurai warrior called Storm.

"She is powerful but calm. Strong and quiet. She embodies everything my @stormykeating is. Totally love it. Thank you @_g_ink_ incredible work."

In response to his post, Storm replied: "I will always protect you baby" followed by a heart emoji.

Fans were quick to show their love for the new tattoo, with one writing: "beautiful words, priceless fab tattoo."

Another wrote "Love love this. Very powerful art xx" while a third person wrote "Beautiful and wonderful. It's really lovely".

This comes as Ronan's son, Jack Keating entered Love Island's Casa Amor last week, with the 23-year-old chosen as one of the six lads sent in to test the strength of the Islanders' current relationships.

Prior to his debut on the show, Ronan had been filled with excitement for his son as he entered the villa in the hopes of finding love, and made comments on social media that were filled with unwavering support for his eldest child.

However, after two days in the villa, that initial excitement has been tinged with parental concern, after Jack appeared to be “quiet and nervous” during his initial meetings with his fellow Islanders.

The former Boyzone singer made the comments during Monday’s edition of The One Show, as hosts Alex Jones and Jermaine Jenas asked him how he was feeling seeing his son trying to impress the ladies on screen.

“I’m a mess, I’m an absolute mess,” Ronan said.

“I mean Storm is doing better than I am. We all miss him in the house, we really do, little brother Cooper and his little sister Coco and Missy, we all miss him.

“His episode last night, he seemed a little bit quiet, he seemed a little bit nervous, which is understandable I guess. I wish him the best, I hope he does okay.

“He’s got such a big heart and he’s a real softie, so I’m just worried about him in there with those other guys,” he added.
