Helen Skelton, 39, shared a beaming black and white photograph with her 444,000 Instagram followers as she rang in the New Year with her Strictly Come Dancing partner Gorka Marquez, 32. On Monday, Helen posted a snap taken by Gorka during dance rehearsals as she marked the end of 2022.

In the caption, the TV presenter used the royal family’s unofficial motto as she wrote: “Hey 2023… this is me.
“Never complain. Never explain. Just crack on.

“[Camera emoji] @gorka_marquez (standard being everyone’s social media content man).”

Hundreds of Helen’s famous friends and fans have since taken to the comments to wish her well.

Gorka quipped: “Sounds like a day of rehearsals.”

TV presenter Nicki Chapman gushed: “Beautiful girl.”

While a fan named Esther gushed: “And ‘me’ is one amazing woman!”

And Mark added: “Happy New Year Helen, to you and the kids wishing you happiness, love and a successful 2023, best wishes x.”

Helen has had a whirlwind 2022 which began with her welcoming her third child Elsie and then splitting from husband Richie Myler, 32, four months later.

Helen and Richie married in 2013 and also share two sons: Ernie, seven, and Louis, five.

She confirmed their split in April, writing on Instagram: “Very sad to say that Richie and I are no longer a couple.

“He has left the family home. We will be doing our best to co-parent our small children.”

Since then, Helen signed up to take part in Strictly Come Dancing and was partnered with Gorka.

She became a fan-favourite from the off and wowed with her routines, notably her Couple’s Choice to Cabaret’s Mein Herr and Jive to Tightrope by Janelle Monae.

Helen avoided the bottom two and made it all the way to the final alongside Hamza Yassin, Fleur East and Molly Rainford.

It was Hamza and his partner Jowita Przystał who lifted the coveted Glitterball Trophy.

Helen will now star in the Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour which will travel the country from January 20 until February 12.

Other celebrities confirmed to be taking part are Hamza, Molly, Fleur, Will Mellor, Ellie Simmonds and Tyler West.

They will be joined by Strictly professionals Amy Dowden, Neil Jones, Robbie Kmetoni, Jake Leigh, Luba Mushtuk, Michelle Tsiakkas, and Kai Widdrington who has replaced Gorka Marquez.

Judges Anton Du Beke, Shirley Ballas and Craig Revel Horwood will all star together and Janette Manrara will return to host.
