Helen Skelton's ex-husband Richie Myler has posted a loving tribute to his new girlfriend Stephanie Thirkill – just days after the Strictly Come Dancing star sold off their wedding gifts on television.
The rugby star, 32, took to his Instagram, which is has set to prviate, to share a loved-up selfie of ther pair and wrote: "Happy birthday bub. Thank you for always being you! I love you lots xxx."
The gushing post comes after Helen, 39, drew another firm line under the marriage split by selling off sentimental items from their relationship while filming Celebrity Yorkshire Auction House, which will air on Really on Monday.
The items sold on the show included an antique vaulting horse, which was one of the former couple's wedding gifts, Victorian dentist chair and two Art Deco armchairs.
The episode, which saw a number of items appraised and sold, was dubbed by some to be a "revenge clear out".
The former Blue Peter presenter appeared on the show where she announced she wanted to signal a "new start" in life.
Earlier this year, Richie announced that he would be setting his social media accounts to private, after he said he had received a barrage of "abusive messages."
Helen announced her splitfrom husband Richie in April, after eight years together, and only four months after the birth of their third child.
Since then Richie has started a relationship with partner Stephanie, who is currently pregnant with their first child together.
Following their split, Helen has been thriving on this year's Strictly. Last week, Helen and her professional dance partner Gorka Marquez scored top points when they performed a fiery couple’s routine to Mien Herr from Cabaret.
Some viewers dubbed her version of the iconic number as a "revenge dance" and compared it to Princess Diana's iconic LBD moment, which she wore the day King Charles admitted to cheating on her in a documentary.
One viewer commented: “Like Diana wore the revenge dress, that was Helen’s revenge dance to her ex-husband, she oozes confidence and I think that dance she could of won the competition.”
Other fans, including Gorka’s fiancé Gemma Atkinson who was watching from home, reckon they spotted the presenter sending a cheeky message to her ex, when during the dance Helen waved to the camera before lifting her middle finger up to the corner of her lip.
Gemma threw her support behind Helen, posting on Instagram a picture of the routine on Instagram with a caption: “It was the subtle middle finger for me. Yes girl!”
