Tributes have been flooding for Friends and Hollywood actor Matthew Perry following his tragic death.

From Sarah Ferguson to David Beckham to stars across the world, the outpouring of grief has been felt by Friends fans globally.

The 54-year-old Chandler Bing star was found dead in his jacuzzi in California.

But what about his life and his family? Here’s a look back at the star’s life away from the cameras.

Who is Matthew Perry’s ex-fiancée and did Friends star have any children?

Perry was previously engaged to his girlfriend Molly Hurwitz with the actor popping the question to the talent manager back in 2020 after the couple had reportedly been dating for two years.

However, Perry announced in 2021 the couple had ended their engagement after seven months and were going their separate ways.

In a brief statement to People Magazine, Perry said: “Sometimes things just don’t work out and this is one of them.”

He added in his message: “I wish Molly the best.”

Most recently, Hurwitz was seen cutting a sombre figure following the news of Perry’s death.

He was also previously with Mean Girls and Masters of Sex star Lizzy Caplan with the couple an item for six years.

Although Perry didn’t mention Caplan by name, he wrote: “I often think if I’d asked [her to marry me], now we’d have two kids and a house.

“Instead, I’m some schmuck who’s alone in his house at fifty-three.”
