Hollyoaks star joins Islander and Corrie actress in Australia for I’m A Celeb

Hollyoaks star Owen Warner, 23, has landed in Australia as the start date for this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! draws even closer.

The hit ITV show is set to make a return in early November, with celebrities jetting off to the Australian jungle for the first time since the pandemic hit.

The previous two series of the show were filmed at Gwrych Castle in Wales.

Owen, who stars as Romeo Nightingale in the Channel 4 soap opera, spoke to reporters ahead of his jungle debut and teased that he's "up for romance".

He joins Coronation Street veteran Sue Cleaver, who was the third celebrity to arrive in the sunny country and cut a casual figure as she landed in Brisbane.

Travelling in comfort, Sue, 59, appeared to give the nod to her upcoming jungle stint in a leopard print top and baseball cap.

When quizzed about her time in Australia though, the Coronation Street star remained schtum about her I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! debut, simply voicing her love of Australia instead.

The soap star arrived just hours after fellow campmates Chris Moyles, 48, and Olivia Attwood.

While Sue didn’t say much about her upcoming time in the jungle, radio host Chris shared his hopes of his time on the highly anticipated show being “nice”.

“It should be nice, fingers crossed anyway,” he said. “There's lots of everything in this country, like sport and beer and I am not scared of sport or beer. So I think I will be alright."

Olivia Attwood, 31, who found fame on Love Island, was the second star to touch down in Australia following Chris.

Speaking about her upcoming time in the jungle, Olivia said she's bound to get herself "in trouble".

"If I can get in that jungle I will get in the shower," she continued, before adding: "My friends and family have always wanted me to do this show so let's see how it goes. I love Ant and Dec, I have grown up watching them. They are British TV Icons."

Other celebrities rumoured to be heading to the jungle include Mike Tindall, Boy George, Seann Walsh and Loose Women star Charlene White.
