Jo Whiley has spoken about refusing to grow old gracefully, insisting: ‘I’ll be wearing the same clothes in my 80s as I did in my 20s.’

The veteran DJ says she was inspired by designer Dame Vivienne Westwood and Specials singer Terry Hall and their refusal to slow down as they got older.

The 57-year-old, pictured, tells The Mail on Sunday’s You magazine: ‘That punk spirit never left them and that’s the same with our generation. 

Jo Whiley has spoken about refusing to grow old gracefully, insisting: ‘I’ll be wearing the same clothes in my 80s as I did in my 20s.

The mother-of-four – who remains synonymous with Britpop, which was dominated by bands such as Blur and Oasis – adds: ‘The 90s were amazing.
