Fred tells Nigel Farage ‘you destroyed the economy’
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! hosts Ant and Dec reportedly want a year without any politicians in the jungle. The news follows ITV’s decisive choice to include Nigel Farage in the 2023 line-up.
Ant and Dec – real names Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly – often host a behind-the-scenes livestream via Instagram together. Known more commonly as the Jungle Club, the pair take questions from social media users and debate the likelihood of other celebrities signing up for the show.
During the latest edition, it’s alleged that the pair claimed to want a year off of any politicians entering the I’m A Celeb jungle. The call comes after it was reported that Nigel, 59, would be receiving a staggering £1.5million to appear on the competition this year.
As reported by MailOnline, Ant and Dec, both 48, were on an Instagram Live and received a question from a viewer. The fan allegedly asked if we could see Prime Minister Rishi Sunak being on the show at some point.
The Britain’s Got Talent hosts replied, with Ant reportedly saying: “I think we do a year without any politicians.” His PJ and Duncan counterpart reportedly then said: “Agreed, agreed, agreed.”

Express.co.uk contacted Ant and Dec’s representatives for further comment.
As well as former UKIP Leader Nigel, the likes of ex-Scottish Labour leader Kezia Dugdale and Former Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Nadine Dorries have both featured on the ITV mainstay. In 2022, Matt Hancock joined the likes of former England international footballer Jill Scott and ex-BBC Radio 1 presenter Chris Moyles in the jungle.
Despite receiving an outpouring of criticism from MPs and the general public, Matt, 45, finished the competition in third place. As per ITV, his fee for appearing Down Under was a stunning £400,000.
On Saturday (2 December) Nigel branded the House Of Lords “corrupt” during the reality show. When speaking to First Dates star Fred Sirieix and Frankie Detorri about politics, the three got onto the topic of UK Parliament.

Recounting a recent visit, the 59-year-old said: “I went to the House of Lords about two months ago, a guy I served with in the late 90s and early 00s in Brussels invited me to lunch. I said, ‘What’s it like here?’ He said, ‘It’s the best retirement home in the country.’
Later on in the conversation, the ex-politician said that the House Of Lords is a “throwback that needs modernising.” He added: “It’s been stuffed full of people who have given parties money. Pretty corrupt stuff really.
“But for those that are in there, it’s a fantastic life.”
