Influencer humiliated after pedicurist discovers her skin condition

Influencer Karina Irby publicly humiliated after cruel pedicurist discovers her incurable skin condition

Body positive influencer Karina Irby was left humiliated on Monday when she was judged over a skin condition while receiving a pedicure.

The bikini designer, 33, has been open about the battle she’s fought with eczema her entire life, leaving her skin marred by scars and ‘patches of white skin’.

In an emotional Instagram video, she said she was now ‘feeling great’ about her body and wanted a pedicure – something she has previously avoided because of her skin.

Unfortunately, rather than boosting her confidence, Karina’s bravery was met with judgement from her pedicurist.

‘I’ve got lumps, bumps, scars, like I get it, I look different. But this lady looked at me like I was pure disease,’ the blonde beauty said in an emotional video.

In a heartbreaking Instagram video, Karina called the pedicure one of the worst experiences of her life

Karina said the woman had a disgusted look on her face during the whole treatment and kept prodding at ‘textured’ bits of skin on her legs.

Touting the moment as ‘the worst pedicure experience of her life’, the influencer said she was ‘mortified’ by the woman’s reaction to her legs.

‘I wanted the ground to open up and swallow me whole,’ she said.

She added: ‘For the whole pedicure I couldn’t relax. I felt so uncomfortable. I was just watching her look at my skin… It’s just skin. I’m not a walking disease.’

Moments after posting the video, which she filmed in her car after getting the pedicure, Karina shared a picture of herself with tears in her eyes.

‘Kindness is so easy. I truly don’t get it. Why act so loud and so careless. Surrounded by people, causing a stir. Over what? White patches on my skin?’ she wrote.

‘If you were that worried, why not ask privately? Why did you feel the need to make a loud announcement and have large hand gestures?’
