Declan Donnelly was left needing months of physio after taking part in iconic I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! trail Celebrity Cyclone.
Dec, 48, has co-hosted the ITV show with Ant McPartlin, also 48, since it began in 2002 and the pair famously don't get involved in the Bushtucker Trials, instead just watching contestants tackle challenges each year.
However, in 2011, the duo took a break from spectating and decided to take on the famous Celebrity Cyclone trial, which takes place towards the end of every series of I'm A Celeb with the final four celebrities completing it.
Ant and Dec completed the a special edition of the challenge as part of the Text Santa charity initiative in 2011.
While it was undoubtedly fun for the duo to finally be on the other side of a Bushtucker Trial, Dec was left with a shoulder injury which caused him to need six months of physio.
He revealed his injury in a live broadcast on social media during last year's series, saying: "We're doing the Celebrity Cyclone today. It's always fun to do, but it takes a while to do. It takes a long time to get everything set up and get all the paint bombs set up and all the sludge and the slime.
"Yeah, it takes a long time but it is fun, the most fun. Everybody who watches the show always wants to give it a go. We've actually done it in the past. We've done the trial."
Ant then added: "We did it for charity years ago, didn't you pop your shoulder?" Dec replied: "Yeah I did. I ended up in physio for six months afterwards. But it was great fun."
I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! returned to screens on Sunday, 19 November with a new batch of celebrities ready to battle it out to be crowned King or Queen of the Jungle.
This year's star-studded line-up features Josie Gibson, Nella Rose, Danielle Harold, Sam Thompson, Marvin Humes, Fred Sirieix, Jamie Lynn Spears, Nigel Farage, Grace Dent and Nick Pickard.
The celebrities were thrown in at the deep end during the launch show, with everyone taking on a trial as soon as the show kicked off.
Nella, Nigel and Josie were left stranded in the middle of the desert where they took on a classic Bushtucker Trial and retrieved stars using only their mouths. Meanwhile, Marvin, Jamie Lynn and Nick took part in the dreaded sky dive before taking on The Temple of Doom trial.
Danielle, Fred, Sam and Grace were faced with the newly revamped Walk The Plank challenge on top of a 32-storey building in Australia's Gold Coast.
