Jack Fincham quits Love Island Games spin-off after alleged drug-driving arrest

Jack Fincham has pulled out of Love Island Games to appear on Celebrity Ex On The Beach instead, according to reports.

It comes after the 32 year old reality star, who won Love Island 2018 with then-girlfriend Dani Dyer, was reportedly arrested on suspicion of drug-driving and using false plates on his car last month. It was said he was stopped by police on the A2 near his home in Swanley, Kent, and also held on suspicion of careless driving and driving without insurance.

A source close to the star denied he had been taking drugs and said he was using private plates rather than false ones. Now it has been reported that Jack has turned down the opportunity to appear on the Love Island spin-off show – which would have seen him enter an ‘All Stars’ villa in Fiji alongside former islanders from past UK, US and Australian series.

An insider told The Sun: “He decided Ex On The Beach was a better fit for him – he'd prefer to do that show so he flew out yesterday.” It was said that Jack had travelled to Spain to appear on the MTV reality show. OK! has contacted Jack’s representatives for comment.

According to reports, Jack was released under investigation until 26 November following his arrest last month. His solicitor Conor Johnstone, of M.A.J Law, said in a statement: “Mr Fincham has not been charged with drug driving and denies any drug consumption whatsoever.

“There is no evidence at this stage that Mr Fincham drove whilst over the legal limit and we are hopeful that his blood results will prove the same.”

Over the summer, Jack revealed he was single again despite having only just gone public with brunette girlfriend Jodie Ella. Despite posting a number of snaps with Jodie earlier in the year, Jack said, "I’m so single it hurts” while talking with The Sun as part of the Under the Surface podcast.

At the time, he also left the door open to a Love Island return – following in the footsteps of stars such as Adam Collard and Kady McDermott. He said: "Oh yeah of course I’d go back on the show. I’d love to.

“It’s like a perfect environment to meet someone. You haven’t got to worry about your phone or going to work or cooking! I’m not just trying to get out of work but yeah, I’d go back on the show in a heartbeat.”

Despite returning to the UK as a golden couple following their Love Island win in 2018, Jack and Dani Dyer only lasted together nine months before calling time on their relationship. Dani went on to date and welcome a son with ex Sammy Kimmence and recently welcomed twin girls with West Ham footballer Jarrod Bowen.

Jack is still searching for his Mrs Right, saying he was looking to settle down now. "My little brother is 28 and he’s been with his girlfriend for nine years and I think wow I’d love that now," he shared. "I’m ready to meet someone."
